Editorial Board Contributor Policy
Political writers - want to know how your article might be reviewed on our site? The American Chronicle family of online publications is dedicated to a vigorous discussion of the issues of the day, whether political, educational, social, cultural, artistic or civic. We seek to enlighten our readers and to stimulate their minds. For this reason, we encourage writers of all stripes to contribute to our websites. However, we demand that all submissions be truthful and civil, and that they be free of personal attacks and hate speech. Our editorial voice is evolving, and we want that voice to be inclusive of various opinions and viewpoints, but we will not tolerate the use of our website to publicize profane, hateful or factually inaccurate submissions. In fulfillment of these generalized goals, we have developed the following author guidelines:
Promotional Writers. We are delighted if you wish to submit a variety of articles about your products, services, or websites with our family of online magazines, and you are certainly welcome to do so. Legitimate articles about legal and honest products or services are welcome. And you may include a few active links in your articles to your websites for the specific purpose of promoting your products or services. However, we will not tolerate the submission of plagiarized articles, copyright violations, or the spamming of our site with articles that duplicate articles previously submitted to us for the purpose of creating countless active links on our websites to your websites. The opportunity to submit articles is a privilege and we request that you treat this opportunity as such. Violations of this policy will result in your account being closed and your articles deleted. When an article is deleted from our site, it is replaced with a "Page Not Found" message that includes links to other websites in our network, providing our affiliates with additional traffic they would not otherwise receive. So don't waste your time, energy, or money putting articles up on our site when they will be immediately, easily, and gladly deleted when a violation of our policy is established. Only honest, reputable, and legitimate writers should request an account. In some instances, we may demand that a PDF of a verifiable image of your driver's license and/or other identification be sent to us by email before your account privileges will be extended. If you are unable or unwilling to abide by this policy, then do not submit work to us because we don't want your articles on our site. If you believe a particular article on the site violates our Editorial Board Contributor Policy, please inform the editors using our Reader Feedback page and please identify the author, article title, article number, and paragraph. Copyright Violations. You are responsible for the content of your articles. Do not submit articles that violate the copyright of others. If you quote from other articles make sure that you cite the article properly using html code, a reference in the text, or a footnote.
