The members of the World Trade Organization (WTO) agree to accord MFN status to each other after the implementation of WTO in January 1, 1995. Exceptions allow for preferential treatment of developing countries, regional free trade areas and customs unions. Together with the principle of national treatment, MFN is one of the cornerstones of WTO trade law.
Once India and Pakistan develop greater stake in economic growth, the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) will be in a better position to realise its dream of growing into a grouping like the EU. The two countries have wasted their energy considerably on issues like Kashmir. Now the time has come for focussing on economic issues. People in South Asia, home to a vast majority of the world´s poor, need the availability of employment opportunities more than anything else. This is essential so that no one takes interest in destructive activities like terrorism. Better trade relations between India and Pakistan can also help the cause of peace in the region.

There will be no denying the fact that corruption is the main reason of terrorism. Actually rulers' corruption has been giving birth to terrorism in the whole world. Pakistani style of management and leadership practices especially when it comes to governmental/semi-governmental organizations seems devoid of any sound ethical or moral principles. The dictatorial style of a typical Pakistani manager seems to be a legacy of decades of colonial rule where the British ruled over India like a master over it's colonial subjects/servants. There is a need for greater awareness on the subject matters so that such Machiavellian practices are ground to a halt and a culture of good governance is allowed to flourish.

Terror and talks will not go together. While dealing with Pakistan India has to learn some lessons from United States of America. In America, national security is supreme. Look the actions taken by America on Pakistan after the recent failed terror attack at New York´s Times Square. Indo-Pak peace talks will not help in easing tensions between the two countries. Every time when India offered her hand for friendship, Pakistan has bust India´s trust.
