My name is Cade Schalla I am a Texas transplant via Montana and New Mexico, former professional rodeo cowboy and veteran of the U.S. Navy. I am an observer of life from a cowboy's point of view which I try to express through my pen. I also write and perform cowboy poetry and have published a book "What´s a Steer?" which was a finalist for the Academy of Western Arts Buck Ramsey Best Cowboy Poetry Book Award. It contains 40 original cowboy poems with illustrations by the famed cowboy cartoonist A-10 Etecheverry. I have recently recorded a CD which bears the same title and contains 12 hand picked poems
