With their 24/7 news cycle and group-think barrage of positive/negative reinforcements the media seeks to promote those who will maintain the status quo and disqualify those they fear.

Buying health insurance will no longer be an option because failing to do so will be illegal. In other words, "Don´t not do that!" or face the full force of the law and miraculously not doing something becomes doing something.

Are we to be the generation that drops the ball? Each generation of Americans has bequeathed to their posterity a land stronger than they received. We were handed the unquestioned leadership of the world and after less than two decades we have frittered it away.

We´ve allowed demagogues preaching a false gospel of man-made global warming chanting songs of pollution hysteria while serving sacraments of social guilt to give our enemies a chokehold on our energy artery.

The lack of a Historical perspective may well prove to be the undoing of our nation. Once a people are divorced from their past they live in the Eternal Now and those who set the agenda can always change now.

If we want manufacturing and innovation to grow reduce taxes to the lowest in the world and take the steel boot of regulation off the throat of free enterprise and watch our manufacturing base and our industrial output soar.

Everyone agrees the cradle-to-grave nanny-state programs of the Progressive corporate state don´t work. What we disagree on is the motive for their imposition and the remedy for their failure.

Back in the Dream Time, when my mind was still locked in the glow of Ronald Reagan and all his example and message meant to America even then I wondered, "What´s wrong with these leaders of ours? Why do the Democrats always seem to outsmart them at every turn?"

After years of activist judges stretching our tortured Constitution from limiting the government to limiting the citizen it´s refreshing to see an American jurist proclaiming that the corruption of our fundamental charter is leading us towards the creation of an unlimited central government usurping the powers expressly reserved to the States and the people.

Yes, the treaty needs to be looked at closely. Yes, we need rock solid assurances the treaty provides for our ability to maintain and modernize our deterrent force.

We must redouble our efforts to turn back the tide. We must limit the government before the government limits us.

Now is the time for everyone who believes in limited government to come to the aid of their nation. Those now awake must wakeup their families, their friends and their neighbors.

If the portents of a coming pro-limited government victory at the polls prove true we must gird ourselves for the long legislative war against an implacable foe.

The coming mid-term elections may well be the most important in our lifetime. America faces a crisis as profound as the Revolution and as divisive as the Civil War.

Political and social philosophy cannot change human nature, and no matter how people wish for another reality all we have is the real one. It´s time people admit that once government acts to equalize the lives of all it must act unequally towards some.

We´re in the midst of a transaction wherein we´re expected to trade in our freedom for cradle-to-grave security and individual liberty for bureaucratic regimentation.

Behind the veil of silence, mockery and misstatements, and continuing a trend that has gone on through the reigns of many imperial presidents, the Obama administration is accumulating more power than any previous administration in American History.

The tale of two civilizations: America slides into the decay of collectivism with oppressive regulations and confiscatory taxes discouraging the innovation and enterprise which made us great. China turns away from these tools of re-distribution and embraces capitalism without naming it.

Even the Founders, a grouping singular in the history of men concerning the brilliance of their intellects and the purity of their motives knew they couldn´t trust themselves to form or maintain a government of fallible men to rule over fallible men.

As long as the role of government is limited, and as long people are free to operate within the informal social arrangements of a non-regimented, non-stratified society there´s no tension between equality of opportunity and liberty.

For years this question of who is sovereign has see-sawed back and forth. Today the Progressives and their two headed government party seek to make the exaltation of the central government permanent. If this stands unchallenged America has devolved from the defused model established under the Constitution to a centralized version reminiscent of its original absolutist definition.

Millions of hardworking American citizens sacrifice their time and invest their efforts in an attempt to get a message through to Washington. The ruling party is headed for a fall and the Obama-Pelosi-Reid triumvirate is fated to lose the current lock they have on power.

We must resist the temptation to reduce our American experiment to an ideology. We cannot allow this bait-and-switch tactic to lead us to the mirage of a collectivist utopia. We need to understand this would deny and distort the constitutionally limited government we inherited.

Today Americans face a naked power grab by those who seek to turn America into a regimented collectivist society. It´s time for those who love liberty to stand against the arrogance of power.

Our current political landscape could get depressing but I believe in American Exceptionalism and a can do attitude. I believe that our history and our future have been and will be defined by our devotion to limited government and the liberty and opportunity this provides.

Now that the Health Care Summit is over could we have a Jobs Summit or an Economy Summit? And what a Health Summit it was. When Mitch McConnell the leader of the Senate Republicans pointed out a two for one disparity between the time given to the Democrats and the Republicans Mr. Obama explained, "I don´t count my time because I´m the President." Senator McCain criticized the current democrat bills for backroom pay-offs and unsavory deals. President Obama quipped this was no time for campaigning since "The elections over." Representative Cantor, the Republican Whip complained of the excessive length of the health care bills. The President told him displaying the massive bills was merely using them as a prop. Such dismissive mockery doesn´t build agreement. With the health care process finally out of the backrooms and on TV what did we see? Were we treated to hours of soaring oratory hype proclaims the best in a generation or were we bored to tears? After a few minutes of the President´s lengthy introduction it was painfully obvious that off his teleprompter the Moderator-in-Chief has a hard time framing a complete sentence or expressing a thought. There were more ums and ahs then in a freshman speech class. Our Professor-in-Chief lectures us daily proving he and his teleprompter may be the greatest orator since Reagan but he´s a poor communicator. How can anyone give hundreds of speeches over a year and then say the reason no one supports his program is because he hasn´t made it clear enough for us to understand. Either he´s saying he can´t communicate or he´s saying we´re too dumb. Maybe instead of thousand page bills he could give us an outline or a PowerPoint? Perhaps it´s time the professor hears what the people are singing, "Hey Teacher, leave those kids alone!" The vast majority of people want to keep the insurance coverage they have. Sure it would be great to provide insurance for those who don´t have any but if that´s the goal for much less than any of the trillion dollar projections for the nationalization of our health care system we could buy Cadillac plans for every person who needs it. So what´s the point? Why wreck what 84.6% of the people have to insure the other 15.4%? Buy them the insurance. Leave the rest of us alone! The State of the Union Speech told us our esteemed leader was pivoting away from the health care paradox to focus on reviving our flagging economy. Instead we see the President compulsively fixed on taking-over America´s health care system. The question is why? Once the Feds take over health care besides directly controlling up to 18% of the economy it will also give the vast new army of wellness bureaucrats who will follow the power to interfere in the most intimate and personal aspects of our lives. What we eat, how we exercise, how we drive, what light bulbs we use and where we can smoke all will become health care issues as America slithers towards totalitarianism, which is the total control of a population by their government. People bought into the vision of "I´m Not Bush" standing between Styrofoam pillars spouting platitudes and avoiding specifics in the midst of an economic meltdown caused by lobbyist advanced cronies and casino capitalism. George II´s answer to his pals sinking the economy with government forced bad loans and toxic derivatives was bail out the perpetrators with tax money from the victims. And what does Hope and Change do? Double down with a pork-filled stimulus boondoggle that´s essentially a slush fund to re-elect Democrats in 2010. Now as an anemic recovery lurches towards a double-dip instead of doing anything anyone believes would actually help he´s banging the health care drum like a political rain man reciting what the weather was like on November 8, 2008. Is it credible to believe that a team of political operatives who cut their teeth in the swamps of Chicago, who had the finesse to sell an empty suit with smoke and mirrors can´t hear hundreds of millions of Americans shouting, "We don´t want this we want that!" This makes no sense. How do political savants turn into tone-deaf conductors, colorblind painters and tangle-foot dancers overnight? Mistakes of this magnitude do not occur innocently. Almost every political pundit in the nation is endlessly chattering that the Democrats are following the President like lemmings off a midterm cliff and yet the White House organization is focused like a laser on nationalizing health care. Leave it alone! Move on. Allow freedom to fix economy before unsustainable debt sinks the ship of state. Americans want the economy fixed. This isn´t rocket science. Economic geniuses such as Hayek and Friedman and political leaders such as Coolidge and Reagan charted the course years ago. Fixing the economy is simple: cut taxes, cut the strangulation of regulation and get out of the way. Europe is sinking under the weight of its version of socialism and if we make America the haven of freedom capital and talent will flock to our shores. If we don´t all that capital and talent may well flock to the rising colossus of the East. Forget the health care take over, the photo-ops and endless speeches we don´t want this we want that.

It´s apparently obvious to the President and his handlers that people have seen through the hype and are mobilizing to excise them and their Progressive aberration from the body politic so they´re relying on their tried and true playbook, misdirect, mislead, mislabel and conquer.

Milk cows don´t pursue happiness they only exist to give milk and they only live as long as they do.

The President´s first State of the Union speech may be over but the con goes on. Keep your eye on the coin as the shills move the shells around.

It isn´t that the President hasn´t talked enough the problem is he isn´t listening. Communication is a two-way exchange and what we have here is a failure to communicate. The day after the Massachusetts megaphone shouted loud and clear, "We don´t want your big government pork-barrel ways!!!" The party of power signaled their shopping spree wasn´t over.

We aren´t engaged in a debate we´re in a war. Slick talk may win debates but when it comes to wars actions speak louder than words and if our leaders won´t talk the talk how can they possibly walk the walk?

If these agents of change succeed in destroying the economy and neutering the Constitution what will protect the freedom and opportunity of America? How do we save the Constitution, re-institute capitalism and stop our slide into the incentive-killing swamp of collectivism?

Culture to a human is like water to a fish. We move around in it constantly but we don´t notice it very much.

What a scene. The courageous iron-willed Nobel-prize-laureate makes his adorable little girls wait for Christmas while Daddy bludgeons a compliant Congress to pass anything they can call heath care reform so the Cavalcade of Czars can fill in the blanks later.

There is a culture war raging in America. It has wreaked havoc in our national psyche since the Summer of Love elevated the ersatz individualism and limousine liberalism of the Boomers from childhood fantasy to national fever-dream. Today the Federal government is the largest employer in America, states are the largest employers in the states and counties are among the largest employers in the counties get the picture? Government´s on a rampage and unless Mothra is going to fly in to save the day we´ll have to deal with Frankenstein-on-the-Potomac ourselves.

Sarah Palin is a self-made woman accomplishing things in her own right instead of riding her husband´s coattails. She accomplished all this without using a family fortune, marrying for money or buying her way into prominence. She achieved position and influence the old fashioned way, she earned it.
