I am a shadowy, dynamic figure, most often seen staring at houses and
making iced mint juleps. In my chequered past I have failed as a heat
engineer, a train driver and a sandwich maker, all still haunt me. I
curse openly, freely, sometime loudly but mostly heartily, it is
recognised as a skill in this country and I am seen as more a man by
some and slob and an illiterate by others. They are both correct in
some sense.
