Born and raised in southern California, she has traveled extensively and has lived in London, Amsterdam, New York City, central Mexico and the oldest mining town in Arizona (Chloride, AZ, population 350).
In 1989, she first visited San Miguel de Allende, in the central highlands of Mexico, and it was love at first sight.
