Musician, songwriter, author, mold justice crusader, educator, victim of environmental illness, working to help others through toxic mold prevention, awareness and education, we recently met with Governor of Ga. who enacted a month of public awareness. My husband and I were diagnosed with trichothecene poisoning, systemic aspergillosis & stachybotrytoxicosis. In other words mold infection and mold poisoning.

Forced to abandon home, recording studio and worldly possessions, our eyes were opened to a serious health and social issue affecting millions of lives. We're dedicating the rest of our lives to educating the public on the adverse health effects of mold and other toxins often found in the home, school and workplace. Many are forced into homelessness through no fault of their own.

Despite dna analysis, pathology and environmental testing all confirming our diagnoses it's been very hard to get the medical care and assistance we desperately need. Many of the people we talk to, even children, are facing the same thing.

Our music was such a big part of our lives before this unforeseen tragedy. Our 911 Tribute CD and other original song releases are all that remain of the past. Our faith in God has been our main source of strength. We are walking miracles, yet still face an ongoing battle.

We feel all things happen for a reason. We're fortunate to have met many other victims across the nation who also suffer from environmental illnesses such as mycotoxicosis and mcs. We relate to the pain and sense of hopelessness.

We deeply miss writing and producing music and pray we'll be able to pursue this again one day. Support of our music would be a tremendous help to us right now, as we are starting life all over. Thus our main focus is overcoming a slow death sentence while also trying to reach out to help others.

We are trying to be a voice for the voiceless. There needs to be standards set for indoor air quality and treatment made available to those who are sick. Someone also has to stand up to the inhumane tactics being used against those suffering injury and loss.

Together we can break the mold that is stealing our health, homes, hopes and dreams. God bless you all.
