Bush commuted the sentence of a former Detroit police sergeant who actually escorted major drug shipments into the city. In 1993, James Russell Harris was convicted of cocaine conspiracy, money laundering, and bribery. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Recently, the Norfolk Police Department released a video of the incident in which Brown can be seen pleading with Officer Parks as she tries to explain that she is physically unable to put her hands behind her back. Parks then is seen shooting Brown with his taser and screaming at her to comply. Even as she lie on the ground, Parks continued to shock her.
This year's so-called Black Friday saw a store employee trampled to death, as the doors to a Long Island Wal-Mart were opened. Men and women continued stepping on the man as he lay dying. Several others were injured in the melee, including a 28 year old pregnant woman.
