Jennifer Curtis, Senior Vice President / General Manager
Jennifer´s diverse background includes 16 years of experience in marketing management and graphic design with work in the video game industry and with Paramount Studios. Jennifer´s strength lies in her ability to create branding that translates seamlessly through a variety of media. Ventura County´s only premier company, the Ventura County Ballet Company, will present "Sleeping Beauty - A Fairytale Ballet" May 22-23 at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center.
Featuring an international ensemble of more than 100, including a cast from around the world, the classic fairytale is brought to life through a metamorphosis of talent representing the best in classic techniques to convey the Russian tale through thoughtful execution and choreography by Marina Fliagina.
Fliagina, who danced professionally in her home country of Russia for more than 30 years, says her version of the ballet is comparable to The Nutcracker at one and one-half hours and is filled with prime jewels from the original production. All of the traditional movements that make this particular ballet a classic have been retained, including such famous movements as the Rose Adagio and pas du deux with Aurora and Prince Desire´ and the pas du deux with Princess Florina and the Blue Bird.
Fliagina´s choreographic adaptation of the ballet won a 2005 Telly Award for Best Videography in a Live Performance in Production. This is the same production that will be presented May 22-23 at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center.

Samantha Dilbeck is an amazing kid with the heart of an angel. At age 6, she informed her parents, Tiffany and Erick Dilbeck that she wanted to help foster children who were plucked from their homes without a moment´s notice.
To serve these children in crisis, the Dilbeck family founded Sammie´s Kids Foundation (SKF) in 2005. A nonprofit organization serving Salinas and Monterey Counties, Calif., SKF has made a difference in the lives of more than 800 children and teens taken to the Salinas-based Cherish Receiving Center operated by Aspiranet, one of California´s largest foster care and adoption agencies.

The 16-minute documentary highlights the dramatic return of BBC´s Cardiff Singer of the World, Soprano Nicole Cabell to her hometown of Ventura. Cabell, who grew up in Ventura´s Avenue district and was only the second American to be given the Singer of the World Award, made an emotional homecoming last May at a triumphant concert of Opera highlights at Ventura High School where she had graduated 12 years earlier.

A student at Ballet Academy Ventura since the age of 4½, Fillmore resident Natalie Graham will dance the role of Clara in the Ventura County Ballet Company´s production of "The Nutcracker," November 22-23 at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center.
Graham will be joined by an international cast from Russia, Albania, and Kazakhstan, plus 90 dancers from Camarillo, Fillmore, Ojai, Santa Paula, Somis, and Ventura.
