The writer questions why George W. Bush is importing foreigners into America, while he is allegedly making their countries safer for the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.
This writer charges the Bush Administration with abject failure in Iraq, based on his goal of a "target" date for the admittance of 12,000 Iraqi refugees.
The United States of America is not a dumping ground for failed nations, "Mr. President."
These 12,000 Iraqi nationals need to return to their country of origin. The loss of our national blood and treasure demands it, as we are fighting to keep them over there--not here.

The following article was written by a tree hugger, who is a staunch defender of the old growth redwood forest.
The author has affirmed his commitment to the environment and the beauty of our planet, by personally extending the southernmost range of the Sitka Spruce by 800 miles, through a Johnny Appleseed effort.
The project which began in his imagination is now a reality, with the establishment of a mixed Sitka Spruce--Redwood forest, in the town of Leucadia, California.
These trees, which now live in San Diego County, are over 50 feet tall.
The Redwood tree is the symbol of America--immortal and eternal, strong and beautiful.

"Tar baby" refers to a sticky situation, something much easier to get into than out of.
It may have taken on other connotations in recent years, but why should that preclude its use in the older sense?
