What does NM Water Planning have to do with California and Water as a Human Right?
Regional water planning underlies the foundation of enforcing water as a human right. It accentuates the ability to review the science and the policy of local governance. Regional planning provides the structure for the development of fair and equitable appropriation and has the capacity to develop and expand input from all sectors of society. As things stand now, the task is profoundly complicated by the interlocking agencies and conflicting jurisdictions; administrative management has superseded adaptive governance as the process of choice.
A CA Green Party Approach to Oppose the Water Bond and Budget Crisis
Let it not be said that the Green Party stood silent in the midst of crises. Let it not be said that who dared to present new alternatives were disregarded by those whose support could make the difference between winning and losing. Nahla Hussein al-Shaly: A Martyr for Women
The message of the murderers of Nahla Hussein al-Shaly is clear. The city of Kirkuk is the focal point of the demands for the implementation of Article 140 to hold the Kirkuk Referendum. The murder of a representative of an organization long opposed to Saddaam Hussein and the Baathists is an effort to bring Saddam´s shadow into southern Kurdistan once again. The murder of an activist in defending the democratic rights of women is aimed at intimidating women organizing for equality.
Tikrit Rallies Against Kurds While Maliki Fiddles
"We have, in the north Kurdistan, which is, in all regards, an independent country with its own army and its own government. And now between the Shiites and the Sunnis there are two separate armies — there's a Shiite army — it's the Iraqi army, but it's dominated by the Shiites — and in the Sunni areas there's now the Awakening — a 100,000-man strong militia. And it is because of the Awakening, and not so much the surge of U.S. troops, that there's been this decline in attacks by al-Qaida."
No Bailout, No Way!!!!!!
The apparent problem here is the absolute political determination of Democrats and Republicans to stave off a crisis that would adjust the market values of assets downward.
