William Marina

William Marina is a Research Fellow at The Independent Institute and Professor Emeritus of History at Florida Atlantic University. He received his Ph.D. in history from the University of Denver, and he has taught at the University of Texas at Arlington, Northern Arizona University, the Universidad Francisco Marroquin, and Schmidt College. He has served as Founding Co-Director the Florida-Israel Linkage Institute; Senior Economist at the U.S. Joint Economic Committee; Senior Resident Scholar at Liberty Fund; President of the International Foundation for Gifted Children; and Director of the Florida Atlantic University Press, Director of the Small Business Development Center, Director International Studies, and Director of Interdisciplinary Studies at Florida Atlantic University.



Recipient of the James Madison Award, Professor Marina has been a Fulbright Scholar and a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Endowment for the Humanities and the Florida Historical Society; Advisory Board of the Florida-China Linkage Institute, Reason Foundation, McDonald Training Center for Exceptional Children, and Florida-Japan Linkage Institute.
