Boortz is a complete idiot and the southern misfit thinks he´s Einstein?
I have not written anything here or elsewhere apart from a blog or two of few words for the simple reason that I am content. I was worried one time on Pensacola Beach right after 9/11 with 100,000 people swooning over the Blue Angels F16´s screaming above and swooping and all the ´ooh´s and aaah´s´ when all I could think of was the dust bowl dwellers with no protection or bomb shelters being strafed and wedding parties annihilated. I am glad that the mindset has come around to normality.
I have complete trust in the America that voted Obama and in the man who is so different and so ´diplomatic´. I am sure that he will reverse all the ´low value´ policies that I have hated and been embarrassed about and that America will return to being the nation of the ´city on the hill´.
Boortz however is worth spending some time on. I wrote about him over 18 months ago o the same subject. At that time he had the sister of someone in Iraq saying she was for ´torture´ and I tried to alert her to what she was saying? To visualize her brother in a room where they were replaying his sisters approval of the torture he was about to endure. Why has a soldier never been returned alive since the American stoop to this depth of value? McCain WAS returned. What has changed? The mentality?
Boortz gives the hypothetical that your daughter is captured in a box and you want to torture to find the truth. If you don´t want to pull the eyes out to get the truth then you are worse than sh*t he says? I offer in return that I would use another hypothetical that Boortz was considered the perpetrator mistakenly and that in order to get information as to where she was they would torture HIS daughter? This is the brutality of our history. The quartering of Wallace and of Native Indian leaders. Have we not progressed? Would I be compliant as the brutal leader with the choice whether to torture Boortz´s daughter to get the information or even to get the man to be less of an animal then perhaps I would? In days of yore I would not give a damn if they both died as life was not special except your own. In a modern time as I listen to the Messiah as his is to too many southerners and the evil he spews I have to worry and listen in disbelief to what America allows in the name of ´free speech´. Then you wonder why there are ´cults´ here and why the ´Jones´ massacre happened? Could not happen in the UK?
I also have to comment on his suggestion that torture was why no further attack on America. If this were not such a serious subject I would have to laugh. Why do so many Americans stay ´in denial´. As if the ´intelligence´ was so good. In fact the various offices would not share info. Also there was no stopping 19 plus radicals from carrying out the outrage of the century. It probably took ten years to plan. They did not take planes for a while so there was an element of surprise. Passengers were content to allow the atrocity to ´play out´ as there had been no recent such horror. It´s terrible to accept but they could not have envisioned the success they would achieve. The buildings were struck but no one expected them to fall. You cannot see a movie nowadays without looking at the skyline to see if it is pre or post 9/11. They cannot follow that nor do they need to? To suggest that torture stopped an LA similar is stupid. They would know that box cutters and planes are not going to work again any time soon. They recently announced that it might be thirty more years before ground zero is rebuilt but the ´righties´ STILL want to go on about how Bush and Cheney kept America safe for eight years? As for ´real´ intelligence? How about if the next time a rich ally Arab is having flying lessons but not interested in taking off and landing the instructor might put aside the financial loss of reporting and arresting the dubious pilot? Do me a favor? Get real? We do not need to torture a guy to admit his part in the 9/11 atrocity. They would ´line up´ to be considered to be the brains of the operation. In point of fact it was so simple that it can never be repeated but they had/have the attention of the world for the next 100 plus years. They cannot improve on it and need not do other than exist as a vocal body to have made their point. Get used to it?
