Auto Ready?

Dan Goodman
You are in your car. Key in hand.

Lets see.

Luggage, yes. Wallet, yes. Food, yes.

Ready to go? Not so fast!

How about your vehicle.

Bet you did not prepare for problems that may occur with your wheels.

So what do you need to bring for your companion; that is, your motor.

To begin. A gallon of gas. Just in case. To that, a gallon of anti-freeze. You never know. Then a gallon of water. That's for your windshield wipers. And, maybe for yourself if you have to walk a distance to get assistance.

Next, a quart (or two) of motor oil. No explanation necessary. To this a quart of transmission fluid. And then a container of brake fluid.

More. Yes indeed.

For your tires. A jack. Fixit tire repair can. Tire plugs and putty. A tire gauge.

To finish. Some papers clips. Some sticks of gum. A piece of sandpaper (for sparkplugs). A roll of duct tape. A roll of electrical tape. A roll of coated wire. And a tool box (with screwdrivers, sockets, wrenches, pliers, vice grips, etc.).

There are extras. A set of battery cables. And a batter operated air pump for your tires.

Now, you can put the key in the starter and go!
