America

" I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul." William Ernest Henley. This quote if taken literately teaches self-reliance, respect for others, and an unbinding faith that anyone can over-come adversity. Through perseverance, patience, and a benevolence toward others has guided America for over 200 years.

In most respects the United States four founding principals Liberty, Justice, Education, and Morality even-though are indirectly linked to that quote, where our founding fathers envisioned a country based on the citizens self-reliance and where the government of the people and by the people will live and flourish indefinitely. What has transpired in the last 30 years is a deterioration so acute, a once solid foundation of the principals now have undermined the future of the United States.

There are many reasons why America has lost the economic security that was so prominent of the last half of the 20th century. The United States was at the end of World War II a manufacturing base economy; where our exports far exceeded our imports, our educational system was the standard for the world, and we held a high moral standard in most aspects of society. Today our manufacturing base economic system has been replaced by a service based one, our educational system has been reduced to a substandard level and our morals in our society have depraved to the lowest point in our history. It is no wonder that the United States governmental and financial policies of the past 30 years created the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression.

When the United States shifted from a strong manufacturing base to a service oriented one due to the trade agreements like NAFTA, the fraudulent financial practices of the banking industry, the relaxing of moral standards in our society, the deterioration of the family unit, our failed educational policies and the political systems corruption have all contributed to America's decline in these past 30 years. These facts now illustrate the commanding need for complete reform. Restoration of our base economy is essential for the United States future.

There are so many factors today involved in our economy that have to be addressed now before the United States sees any real recovery. One: is that the amount of credit card debt is at record levels, Two: incomes have fallen while the cost of living continues unabated to rise annually, Three: unemployment keeps rising, and Fourth: the manufacturing base in the United States keeps shrinking.

With the continuing onslaught of massive credit card debt in the United States today there is still a great chance more banks will fail not only here in the but through-out the world. Even with the Federal Bail out of the financial institutions the banking industry is still not doing enough to rescue those industries who are on the verge or those who have already have gone under. This is creating more domino effects in every local community where everything is contingent on the overall success of every business. When banks still are hesitant in releasing available funds that the government purposely designated for the sole purpose of stimulating business growth and expansion while at the same time creating living wage jobs in the process every local community will continue to languish in a spiral of economic desperation. Compound to this existing problem ones credit scores continue to suffer there-fore making the average citizen's ability to stave of foreclosure, purchase a major appliance, or automobile there by creating economic momentum is all but impossible.

"We the people " now have the opportunity to ensure the solvency, the security, the prosperity and the restoration of our basic founding principals. A united effort with the common purpose is the only way to achieve the results needed if America is to survive as was intended the way our Constitution was written. To foster in a lasting era of prosperity, peace between nations, and preservation of the planet passage of National Economic Reform is imperative.
