Those big eyes ! Those small hands and feet and hands that seem restless always.
Your little bundle of joy. You will go to the end of the world to get him/her the best of everything. Is it not?
Well now you do not have to go that far if you would like to get the best baby clothing for your tiny tot. There are plenty of options that you can browse through. And that is even before you leave your chair. All thanks to the Internet.
However, what should you remember when you buy baby clothes ? I tried to find( more out of necessity than anything else in advance preparation). I believe you will agree that the most important thing would be whether the clothes are comfortable. All else can wait,but if the baby is not comfortable, the purpose is defeated. Ensure that the fabric is not abrasive on the skin. A quick way to test is to feel the fabric yourself. Also the cloth should be snug and not be too tight. Just ask my friend who had to stay up all night due to this and you will know.
Next comes the nature of fabric. Will you go for traditional cotton or organic fabric? If you are not too keen on experimentation ( which is my way) just follow your family aunt to the mall and all else will take care of itself. However organic fabrics, from what I have found out, are not so bad either. I have never heard of any complaints from any of my friends who tried it and there are quite a few of them. A good place, I hear, to start searching online is Pure Beginnings.
So finally now that you have looked at the catalog and have a fair idea about the type of baby clothing you are looking for, where do you go. I find that following somebody who has "been there done that" always works. However never forget it is your baby and you always know better( no matter what anyone says). Accompanied by family, I have always found a good deal----but that is about it. Personally I find shopping online a pleasant experience. If you are selecting a legitimate vendor that is. Some of the well known ones that you can try are Sozo, Pure Beginnings,Tuttibella and others. A word of caution here---the Internet is wide and unruly place. If you are not sure whether buying on a particular site would be good, err on the side of caution. Most baby clothing which is of any quality is not dirt cheap. Be aware when the price or the discount seems a bit unnatural. This is supposed to be a pleasure and not something leading to a nervous breakdown.
So now you know. Don't worry, you will be shopping again very soon. They grow up before you know it. The pleasures of finding them happy clothed daintily-----it always makes my day. I am sure it will be the same for you too.
