We should De-Wussy America!

Michael C. Morris
I just watched a segment on CNN with Kinky Friedman where it was pointed out that America has become a land of "Wussy?s." I agree.

Do you know what the definition of all fool is? It is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different outcome. That is what I think about the 300 million Americans who think the immigration problem will change. We think that our lawmakers will be able to write laws that will cure the immigration problem and secure our borders. Wrong!

Just in case any of you Californians have forgotten, proposition 187 was voted on and passed by the people of California. It was a legitimate process where the people of California voted and said that they wished to return the illegal immigrants back to Mexico. Then the court system decided for the people of California that it was unconstitutional and voided the vote of the people.

Why I see Americans as fools, is because we believe that even if our lawmakers passed these laws to secure our borders and deport illegal immigrants, the courts will once again tell us that it is unconstitutional. What is funny about it being unconstitutional is the constitution guarantees the people of the United States a democracy whereby the will of the people is the law of the land. Why do I see that as funny?

I see this as funny because we have allowed the court systems in the United States of America to infiltrate every aspect of our lives. We allow people that 50 years ago where considered snakes and ambulance chasers to tell us what is right and wrong. I see this is funny because the American people don?t have the guts to do the right thing and to make these courts work for the people, because the will of the people of the United States is the law!

To tell you the truth and, I think I have lived in the last era where the American people had some rights to run their own country. At this point our country is being run by politicians and lawmakers whose background is that of snakes and ambulance chasers or in the case of California an actor. I do not see the American people having what it takes any longer to do what is necessary to bring these courts and government back in line.

So why worry about the immigration problem. Why worry about domestic spying, or that our government outright lies to us each and every day. Just sit on your couch and watch your reality TV shows and eat your genetically modified food. Life is good, wussy.
