Rarely do products come along that really stand out. We asked the experts at Action Packaging Systems Inc. to tell us a little about this label applicator´s capabilities.

1. What is a GS-60 Label Printer Applicator?

The GS-60 is a very compact label printer applicator measuring 26" long and 16" wide. It will fit into most labeling applications. Designed for multiple positions top down, side apply, or bottom up; which is all achieved on the universal mounting arm. Want to see one in action? Follow this link www.actionpkg.com and select GS-60 from the page of applicator video clips.

2. How does it work?

The GS-60 Label Printer Applicator can employ either the Sato or Zebra print engines for producing labels. This unit is user friendly as there are no adjustments to make. Simple web path for loading labels, and ribbons and both are the same media length. When the product is detected by the product sensor the tamp-blow foot pad strokes out to the product and blows or tamp-blows onto a stationary or moving product. The next label will vacuum to the foot pad waiting for the next product.

3. Is it reliable?

The GS-60 all-steel frame comes with several unique features to allow for incredible reliable service. The main board uses a timing EEPROM chip which replaced the "reed switch" style, which adds to the dependability. Also the main board´s small footprint of 4" x 6"allows for various configurations. The waste take up has no chains or belts, but a direct drive, that will never fail. One reset button is all the operator uses to reset the labeler when it runs out of media.

4. Automatic or semi-automatic labeling?

We offer two methods of applying labels, in the automatic mode usually associated with a moving conveyor, or our semi automatic mode, which is ideal for less daily volume. The semi automatic has the GS-60 labeling head mounted on a stand with an adjustable fixture base below it. The unit can be raised or lowered for different height products, and the fixture base is adjustable x / y axis with a built in "start" cycle sensor into the fence rail for superior response for semi automatic labeling.

5. Is there training/support?

Our machines division is fully staffed with trained technicians that cover the U.S. for training and service requests. The bulk of our machine division calls are handled over the phone or via remote access after initial installation and training.
