Play-Doh Perfume Anyone?

Robert Paul Reyes
Smells have very magical properties, in an instant they can transport you back in time. I recently took my niece to a carnival, while she tempted fate riding the Zipper and the Cruncher, I went to the concession stand and bought some cotton candy. The taste was akin to munching on a Q-tip, but the smell was so evocative -- it reminded me when I was young and riding a roller coaster a multitude of times was the epitome of an afternoon well spent.

My parents were blessed with a lot of children and cursed with an empty bank account. One of the few play things that they could afford to buy for us was Play-Doh.

One whiff of Play-Doh and I am once again a child, molding monsters and castles -- without a care in the world.

Hasbro is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Play-Doh by releasing "Eau de Play-Doh," a perfume that smells just like Play-Doh.

I will buy a bottle of "Eau de Play-Doh, not in a bid to attract women, but as a vehicle to transport me back to my childhood.

After a rough day at the office, all I have to do is open the bottle of the magical perfume, take a deep breath, and all will be right with the world.

Even at $19 a bottle, it's a great deal!
