Running To Burn Belly Fat Fast
Why is running so great for fat loss?
There are several reasons:
1. Running is highly intensive. It is one of the hardest cardio workouts.
2. Running incorporates practically every muscle group in your body. It just puts your entire body to work and so helps to shed calories faster.
3. Running works the abs. When you run, your stomach muscles contract so they are straining even while you burn calories giving your a double benefit.
I happen to love running myself. I put in at least 2 long distance runs each and every week. It was one of the ways in which I lost weight when I needed to and one of the ways I remain lean today.
However, if you're really interested in running in order to burn belly fat, you need to not only do it, but actually do it right. This will help you to maximize your results in a shorter time frame.
The key to running for maximum effect is to do it in intervals. This means that you change the pace in which you run every few minutes, sometimes pushing yourself hard, another time taking it more slowly. Doing this allows you to do much shorter workouts which are still very intensive. Not only do you lose more calories, but you also save time.
Sprinting is also an excellent way to tone your abs. The faster you run, the harder your abs work. If you sprint on a regular basis for a few weeks, your stomach will be much harder than it was when you began. Try it and you'll see.
Overall, running of any sorts is a great workout to get lean. Make sure to incorporate it in your workouts.
