Transformational workshop in Ventura

Transformational Third Thursdays, a popular monthly consciousness workshop and discussion group based on the teachings of Eckhart Tolle, will meet again on March 19th from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Bank of Books, 748 E. Main St., Ventura. The series is presented by award-winning novelist Michael Mehas, author of "Stolen Boy."

Offered free of charge as a community service by the author and Clarey Rudd, owner of Bank of Books, the transformational series has been a huge success from the start.

Persons at all levels of the transformative experience are invited to attend one or more of the monthly events. The goal of the workshop is for each participant to learn how to improve their lives by ending the drama, pain, and suffering we all create for themselves, by transforming our consciousness and aligning ourselves with life´s natural energies.


The yearlong series, which continues on March 19th, will meet on the third Thursday of each month, concluding on December 17th. All events will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Bank of Books in downtown Ventura.

A New Earth, and Stolen Boy can be found on the shelves at Bank of Books. In celebration of transformation, Clarey Rudd has agreed to offer a 20% discount on both books.

Celebrant Pam Vetter
meets with families, researches life stories, writes original tributes and conducts one-of-a-kind farewells. In finding her mission, she believes the funeral belongs to the family.

As a Journalist, Vetter enjoys her work writing feature stories about interesting people who are trying to change the world. She also is committed to sharing progressive views through her article series focused on Performers With Disabilities.

In early 2005, she earned certification as a Funeral Celebrant through training with the In-Sight Institute at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. After conducting high-profile funerals, she quickly gained national attention for funeral services that focused on storytelling.

Previously, she worked in the film industry at HBO Pictures, Fox Filmed Entertainment and Fox Broadcasting Company. She started her career in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in TV News at WGAL and Radio News at WLPA/WNCE. While working in radio as a news anchor and reporter, Vetter earned several awards from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasting for feature stories, live coverage and spot news.
