The NWO: what future for the Christian?

Rod Smith
We are truly in the biblical last days now. Under the New World Order, the futuristic picture God gives this writer is:

Much of what we know as "the church" today will be gone. Only a remnant will be left - those who truly belong to Christ and who refused to accept the NWO microchip. That will be God's test of the commitment each individual has to Him. Only those with real faith and guts will refuse the chip. Admittedly it's not an easy decision, because western Christians have been cushioned in prosperity and ease of living for many years. Most of us have gotten used to it.

The woman who suffered pre-childbirth pain forgets about it when the child is in her arms. So it will be for the Christian who does not capitulate in the coming trials.

If the church under the NWO continues, it will be a fake church - a totally state-controlled entity such as operates presently in Communist China. There, "official" pastors are puppets of the regime. The genuine believers who resist the coming NWO will be in detention camps, or if not will have to meet secretly, out of sight and detection of the authorities.

True Churches will exist, for Jesus said "I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

Generally, what we have now is not Jesus' church - in this writer's view. The post-NWO "underground" church will resemble what we read in Acts, and the supernatural will be commonplace. Until the "Iron Curtain" came down there were such churches in Russia and Eastern Europe. Anti-Christ governments rounded up, detained or imprisoned any believers they could find. That is happening today in some countries.

The coming test will make real to the western world the meaning of Jesus' words: "take up your cross and follow Me."

Any pastor worth his salt should begin preparing his congregation now for what is to come. The "sugary" preaching of today has to go, with the preachers highlighting verses on trial, tribulation and persecution. The Apostle Paul being our prime example to follow.

Revelation 14 makes clear all who worship the "beast" system will have to suffer the wrath of God. To embrace the NWO is to worship it. Remember, those words in Revelation were spoken to the Apostle John. "All" means believers and non-believers alike. We must refuse that microchip if we don't want to suffer God's wrath - and it will be awesome.

Jesus said "To he who overcomes..." several times in Revelation 2,3. So we have to do some overcoming. The Christian who does overcome will have light at the end of the darkest tunnel.
