Does the MMR really prevent Measles? Trying to separate fact from fiction.
I have yet to find a doctor or a drugs company that will hand on heart say that a child cannot get Measles after having the MMR. I have however, found many quotes saying 99% of children who have the MMR will not get Measles. I always find statistics are interesting as they have this way of giving a false sense of security. I guess it's how you look at things, 99% can be taken two different ways. Does 99% really mean 99%, if that is correct then 10,000 out of every 1,000000 children may contract measles after having the MMR vaccination? That is rather a large number of children isn't it? Then again is 99% really saying we are not really sure but most children who have the MMR will not get Measles? Statistics are clever things really because they seem to lean towards whatever a person or company want you to believe. How many Drug Companies would say for example that 1% of children that have the MMR could still get Measles? Not many, because that may worry some parents and they may think well if my child may catch Measles anyway what is the point of vaccinating them, especially if they are worried by the possible links to Autism?
In Glasgow a mother was left very confused when her son contracted Measles despite being given the MMR. She was told by her doctor when she arrived at the surgery with her very poorly child who she thought may have Measles, that her child could not have Measles because he was protected by the MMR. However the mother was left very shocked and bewildered when she overheard a conversation between her doctor and the hospital. I quote from above article
"I overheard the doctorīs conversation with a registrar at the Yorkhill sick childrenīs hospital, who he called for advice. The registrar was shouting: īIf itīs measles, for Godīs sake donīt bring him in here.ī"
Later this mother discovered that written on her child's medical records was that her child had Measles.
According to several articles I have read hundreds of cases of suspected Measles are seen by G.P's every year, despite these children having had the MMR vaccine. Very often they are diagnosed as having something entirely different. Of course being the cynic I am, I have often wondered if these cases are used in the statistics of confirmed cases worldwide that are published to push parents to have their children vaccinated with the MMR.because of the rise in the numbers of Measles. If so this is scaremongering and misrepresentation and thus deliberately misleading the public into believing what the drugs companies want us to believe.
I found of late that drugs companies have a habit of hiding data and tweaking statistics and results to favour what they wish the public to believe, as do Governments. Take the drug Seroxat for example, the drugs company Glaxo Smith Kline deliberately hid data confirming that the Seroxat did not help depression in children under 18yrs and increased the risk of suicidal behaviour in some cases. Pretty serious stuff but GSK the manufacturer of Seroxat miraculously escaped prosecution on the grounds that the " law at the relevant time was insufficiently clear" . In my opinion hiding data to cover up that a medication is unsafe for use in children is immoral and I cannot see anything unclear in that.
Unfortunately this is happening everywhere. Glaxo Smith Kline is not alone in these tactics. Eli Lilly has consistently covered up that Zyprexa or Olanzipane a drug used for patients suffering from mental health problems can cause Diabetes in some patients and even death Important Zyprexa documents now available, make extremely distressing reading and are not for the faint at heart, can now be read thanks to the website Furious Seasons I recommend reading all of them, as they really do tell of massive cover ups by Eli Lilly. This drug has very worrying side effects in fact a very long list indeed but I am aware of patients in Nursing Homes that are on this drug that have never been told of any risks, which makes me very suspicious to how much our doctors know of the side effects and if they do perhaps they are getting freebies to promote this drug, as this is not unheard of and does go on.
Personally I believe that it pays Eli Lilly to keep quiet, after all they do manufacture drugs to treat Diabetes So if they give a drug that can cause Diabetes as a side effect for one condition they are there ready and willing with another drug to treat the side effect of the first drug. Double the profits so very profitable so why squeal, far better to just hide the data?
Even more worrying is that the National Health Service in UK actually have health leaflets encouraging children to take psychiatric drugs including Zyprexa. Could this be another reason why the incidence of diabetes is rising in children?
This goes on all the time as sites like Profitable Harm show in a section aptly named 'Selling Your Soul'
Of course we cannot leave Merck out as they covered-up health risks associated with the drug Vioxx which may have resulted in thousands of deaths. They also choose to ignore all fears regarding the vaccine Gardasil I recommend you listen in to the radio show. Cynthia Janak an American Journalist was on one recently, which you can hear on her site Only the Truth with children speaking live on air about their adverse reactions, some as young as 12yrs old. These children have been left very very sick indeed. Many of the children damaged by Gardasil are featured on her site and she has photos and their personal stories and a memorial page for children who had died as a result of this vaccine. I doubt if Merck will listen in though.
All this makes me extremely anxious as to what else is being covered up and by who. I am worried that if all this is being hidden and drug companies are being protected then what about Autism and the MMR? Does the MMR cause Autism or maybe that should be can the MMR cause Autism? My feelings are yes it can, after all has anyone anywhere ever met a doctor who could give a 100% cast iron guarantee it cannot? We are presented with these so called Scientific Studies saying there is no link between the MMR and Autism but is this a 100% guarantee that there is no link because if it isn't, then, that means there could well be a link! Until I see a 100% guarantee in writing that the MMR does not and cannot cause Autism then I go back to my statistical argument at the beginning of my article. If something has a 99% guarantee then there could be a 1% uncertainty! Does the MMR really stand for Measles, Mumps and Rubella or could it stand for what I call a Money Making Rouse. After all there are plenty of drugs for ADHD and drugs mean profits.Only my opinion of course.
