The Brave New World Order: Bilderberg Cantata in G7
Orwellian Doublethink
Typically, maturing insight results in compromise and equivocation. In America, to become a doctor of medicine means that, on the one hand, your highest calling is to prevent the suffering of your fellows, and on the other you hope that they remain at least just uncomfortable enough to ensure the lifestyle you eventually find yourself accustomed to. To practice law as a trial attorney, your goal is to prevent unjust treatment under the law, but you find you must take the cause of the unjust and the just alike, and struggle for both to the extent of your talents and abilities. As a law enforcement officer, you wage war on crime, but depend on that very element for your livelihood. World peace disenfranchises the professional soldier, the defense contractor and the arms merchant. Our socioeconomic system is the single greatest limiting factor on the ability of our species to evolve to a higher level. It is not in our best financial interest for profitable negative situations to cease to exist, or that we substantially perfect that which we are engaged in. Our free-market capitalist paradigm requires that in practice our colleagues and we never perform whatever we are performing to the extent that it is "finished" and complete, thereby ending the necessity of that particular profession´s practice in the future. It is not in our collective best interest to be triumphant in our quixotic endeavors. And there is the rub.
The very language of the professional guilds reveals this concept. We "practice" law and medicine, never quite insinuating an acumen approaching perfection. We "treat" disease symptoms; cures are rare or irrelevant and contrary to continued chemotherapeutic standards. We are "law enforcement officers". We call ourselves "peace keepers". We are known as "consumers". The whole litany of our economic hymnal is full of these subtle and pervasive double entendres that are obviously meant to connote an eternal effort, only successful enough for us to keep doing it day after day.
Marketing Science
Scientific advancement is no less a prisoner of our world economic system. Scientific progress depends upon funding, and that presents a problem. A concept that promises to be financially rewarding for its investors, particularly if it offers a rapid return, is usually successful. Investment consortiums and holding companies look for such investment opportunities and award money according to the potential for a quick and significant return.
There is obviously some reticence to compete against oneself, and to loosing money from an older technology investment by the development of another competitive technology that promises to usurp the previous investment strategy. New product investments naturally replace older product investment streams that are near the end of their life cycles. For instance, the demand for quick delivery favored the container truck over the railcar as the preferred method of transportation in the last century. While the railroad was the premier achievement of the 19th century and enabled the continental expansion, it was replaced by the commercial trucking and airline industries. Newspapers were replaced by radio, and radio in turn by television. The small screen and the availability of video on tape and disc replaced the Big Screen, but more movies are made due to that change. The availability of alternative news and entertainment on the Internet threatens the old frontline media giants to the point of their moving into the new format. Each change, while painful for a small minority, ultimately mean more revenue flowing into more variegated channels than before.
And such is the case the leading edge science of molecular assembly or nanotechnology and alternative energy forms, particularly zero-point energy. These concepts however represent profound change in the course of human development and are on par with such changes as the domestication of animals and crops and the discovery of fire and the creation of the wheel. The science of the small challenges everything, threatening to undermine the very bulwark of civilization to this point – the faith based systems of both finance and religion. It is not surprising that these concepts come at a time of increasing pressure upon governments to disclose extraterrestrial interaction and experience.
While there is an undeniable possibility that earth has been the scene of extraterrestrial activity for millennia, it is an equally probable assumption that it has not, and that the forces responsible for our cultural evolution are purely prosaic, being naturally selected. But there are two distinct and seemingly diametric forces at work today regarding these two ideas. The one side protects, dismisses or ignores information and the other side desires, demands and investigates its release. Given the potential outcome of a release of technology that will change everything and the fact that this battle is occurring in the information age of computers, cell phones and the Internet, it is no small wonder that the keepers of the secrets appear ambivalent about the subject.
"Alien Disclosure" undoubtedly brings with it tantalizing technological benefits of galactic citizenry. But it is simply not in the best interest of our collective to eliminate the need for energy production and distribution and the covalent accumulation of capital resources and control of productive capacity. We are not programmed for egalitarian civilization. And this may not be an accident of Darwinian survival.
The manipulation of the smallest elements of matter and living organisms bring with it a great deal of resistance from those opposed to tampering in the domain of the creator. Gaining ability to create or modify life, in any fashion, is anathema. Many streams of research result in enhanced abilities to manipulate the chemical structure of DNA, and use this living machine center to perform assembly tasks previously impossible to scientists. The recent usage of the e. coli bacteria DNA system to assemble carbon nanotubes into specific shapes is only one example[i]. Stem cell research, cloning, the principal of evolution and many other trends in the science elicit a reaction from some most religious quarters. Ignoring this element of resistance to scientific progress can adversely affect profits, and so trends that seem to violate religious ethics are either ignored by investors or taken underground, into the dark channels of defense research spending[ii]. To avoid wasteful confrontation and resistance, there are a number of steps needed to get from where we are today to the future that may be around the corner.
Economic Assault
It should be clear to anyone paying a modicum of attention that the Frankenstein Economy we have created has turned on us, and the status quo since Smith published The Wealth of Nations is facing its demise. The alternative news is littered with an acute awareness that things are changing, dramastically.
"Capitalism has, however, failed. Not in its essence but in its abuse. That President Obama should be charged with the task of spending trillions in non-existent dollars to prevent his country going the way of ancient Rome is testament to decades of arrogant imperialist attitude. But charged with that task he is. It is no longer appropriate to consider the Democrat-Republican relationship as representative of a clear left -right divide, just as it is no longer appropriate to consider the Labor and Coalition parties in Australia to be so diametrically opposed. Necessity has become the mother of centrist policy. It was the Republican administration which took the first overtly socialist steps towards a quasi -nationalization solution for the US financial sector. It is the Democrat administration which is now trying to save capitalism." Capitalism seems to be experiencing some technical difficulties. Seeping into mainstream thought is an aroma that smells like smoke. We find ourselves looking around our house for fire, sniffing about in every room. The signs of the abuse we have tolerated for so long command our attention now, and we feel somehow that this is the cause of our problems. Ironically, the smell is of the engine of capitalism itself, the fire of this corruption being the motivational force of the corporation. Extinguish this flame, and the motor stops. Not something we can easily do.
Civilization Depends on Conspiracy
First, since the New World Order looming on the horizon means a complete upheaval of current financial and monetary thinking, the logical thing to do will be do destroy the economy and make it difficult for anyone to argue with the developments as they progress. Destruction of an economy is accomplished by a successful and protracted attack upon the faith in that institution[iii]. As Clancy pointed out in The Hunt for Red October, the crew has to want to get off the ship. This planned departure is well underway. Unfortunately things will get considerably more painful in the short term. It might be a good idea to pick up a copy of John Steinbeck´s The Grapes of Wrath as soon as possible.
For those who do not believe the powerful elite will allow their fortunes to evaporate, and to loose thereby their hold on government and civilization, it may be important to understand that "money" and "power" are not synonymous. Power and money are both simply derivatives of faith and belief, which manifest themselves in this dimension through thought and knowledge. Our collective grip on reality is therefore only tenuous at best, given we have so little control on the knowledge base in the hands of the powerful. This trite but axiomatic "knowledge is power" concept is in no small part the reason for secrecy in business and government. Change, it must be remembered, begins in the realms of thought and ideas, beliefs, values and faith – not just in financial corporations, governments or in the membership of elite and secret organizations. The purpose of the latter is to influence and control the former. Actions that effect reactions in the area of belief change the course of cultural evolution.
President Scapegoat
Being the hierarchically inclined animals we are, we need to have a good scapegoat. President Obama will suffice, on many levels. He will be blamed for all the things that happen on the road to the future, regardless of the fact that he had little to do with developing these problems. He and Ms. Clinton were allegedly visiting in Northern Virginia in the summer of ´08 and it was at the Bilderberg meeting that they were probably given their assignments[iv]. Strange how the election process has so little bearing on the course of events at this point is it not? But it is nonetheless the Obama Administration which is targeted for and tasked with the change. The obvious change insinuated with the first non-white president in history is an indication that we need to be paying attention now. The campaign slogan was of course "Change" and the extenuating concept of "belief" was amplified in the same slogan as well. These are obvious signals.
The first actions of the new regime were aimed at changing the paradigm of secrecy and obfuscation our government has perpetuated since its inception, and which the last administration seemed to support as even a religion of some kind. The Obama administration is seeking to change this paradigm and insists its agencies perform their duties "with a view toward disclosure" and openness[v].
Openness it will be recalled is reminiscent of the glasnost of the former Soviet Union[vi]. Shortly after the initiation of this policy, the country shifted to a non-communist financial system. While Reagan´s military buildup surely helped, the change was mainly the result of a shift in the thinking of the Russian people in general. There could have been no change otherwise.
The change alluded to may be no less than a complete overhaul of the "Free-Market-Democratic-Capitalism" which has plagued the earth since the birth of the United States; the nation which, incidentally, was founded by members of another highly secretive society – the Freemasons. Again, civilization is dependant upon conspiracy.
So the new administration has stated by its actions that secrecy has been a problem. More secrecy will not be among the possible solutions to the catastrophic mess the previous administration has left the new guy to clean up. It is also obvious that what has predominated the business world for generations, the gluttony of a "free-market" and a propensity to deregulate, and to reduce taxation on corporations has only served to increase the wealth of those at the top and has done nothing to improve the state of the union or the world in general. Just the opposite. In fact it is being bandied about that this whole relationship is on the brink of destruction, as executive salary caps and nationalization strategies are discussed in connection with the historic stimulus packages President Obama is on the road with this week.
Just a quick check on the mathematics in the news, the $700 billion Wall Street bailout and the $800 billion proposal for Main Street comes to about one and a half trillion dollars, approximately. Add to this the regular out of pocket of $4 trillion, on a good day. This gives a whole new perspective on the term "imaginary numbers" does it not? And that is only a rough draft. Where will the money come from? And this same thing is happening all around the world.
This is not a problem. Spend lavishly as fast as we can, because in the very near future, all this spending will "necessitate a change of radical proportions" and "require us to make concessions unheard of in American, nay, World History".
Knowing this impending change of course, three of the main stays of the American economy have begun a systematic withering, or pruning, if you will. Big Oil grabbed a big cache last summer and will do so again this summer, the Automobile Industry is preparing for a complete systems conversion and relocation and Big Banking with its attendant financial systems are circling the drain in a pirouette to the Bilderberg Cantata.
Fortunately, at about the time when things look completely hopeless (ca. 2011-2012), a new energy source will be unveiled which will solve the biggest problems on our planet, and take a load off our troubled economy – Zero-Point-Energy! In preparation for this, development and discussion of the "Smart Grid" is shaping ideas about the efficient (billable) distribution of the new energy[vii]. The new energy will eliminate the effects of fossil fuels on the environment and curtail our gluttony for petroleum. Simultaneously, great advances in molecular manufacturing will replace the smokestack industries and the difficulties we have had in producing the goods needed for our lifestyle. The global, free-market will be obsolete as entrepreneurs launch into nanotechnology, converting waste products into useful items, and cleaning the environment as a collateral benefit.
The tensions between nations will be alleviated – no more evil Chinese imports or Oil Wars, no more NAFTA, no more Trade Unions or Import/Export concerns. There is in fact an end to the concept of nations in this future scenario. Essentially defensive mechanisms, nations will become archaic concepts and the "one world" view will predominate.
Too Good To Be True
Americans especially will not slip easily into this new paradigm. There have been too many generations of free capitalists, and potential capitalists born, too much ownership and inheritance and too much blood spilt for the sake of "protecting freedom and the American Way of Life" to just fade quietly into extinction. And that too has been foreseen in the ultimate conspiracy and accounted for in the pervasive gun laws of the United States. The right to bear arms and form militias is a constitutional privilege and one that most Americans hold dearly. Except in those areas with high concentrations of government and financial facilities, guns are abundant and those who own and carry them are plentiful. Small citizen militias are prevalent in the US and some of them are quite organized and formidable. Which is why the necessary means to contain them have been in place for quite some time. This is also exemplified by the modern tendency to willingly battle insurgencies and by the development of tactics and strategies for combat in urban areas. Change will be ultimately traumatic for the majority of Americans.
Americans believe we are free and persistently rationalize military operations in an effort to retain that perceived freedom. It is not going to be easy to sell the average person on a life without the burden of accumulation of wealth as a means to power. The mindset will not surrender without a fight. There will be many people in custody, occupying those mysterious FEMA camps, allegedly built for victims of natural catastrophes (incidentally unused for Katrina) – or, illegal aliens. The internment of Japanese American Citizens during World War Two is an example of just how easily this can be accomplished and just how little blowback from the unaffected population can be expected.
Simultaneously with the advent of ´free-energy´ and molecular assembly, the ability to elegantly adjust the population of the planet will emerge. In fact, this technology already exists and is deployed. The adjustments however will not be boorish as were those of totalitarian regimes of the past, but targeted and infinitely adjustable. Something akin to the Huxlian concept of genetic manipulation, without the need for quite as many Epsilons, or Deltas, for that matter. The mechanism will simply reduce the birth rates worldwide, and over time, the thinning process will result in a new admixture of human life on the earth. This process will take upwards of three generations to accomplish, but will become visible initially in the developed countries and spread gradually to the remainder of the planet.
Of course there are extenuating circumstances that may adjust this process and augment the slow population decline over time. The twin themes of Alien Disclosure and 2012 mark a milestone in the progress toward this (possible) future. It appears that Mr. Obama will preside over both of these developments.
The peculiar emotion of love binds us to a hope for the future, if only for our children´s sake. Despite all information to the contrary, we believe this future will be good for our descendants. Our action, or inaction, is a function of that belief. We willingly accept that this course we are on is the rational way to live, and we inculcate this belief in our children. We are domesticated, placated by this idea of freedom and a "higher standard of living" for our children, and will not easily agree to alter that course in the absence of traumatic conditions or cataclysmic developments on a global scale. Americans and capitalists in general may be similar in many ways to the Neanderthals. Like these ancient runners-up, capitalists will be replaced with the next generation of humans, equipped to adapt to their new world of ideas and technology. The Neanderthals undoubtedly loved their children just as much as we Cro-Magnons, but we nonetheless replaced them.
