Food is Not Comfort

What is the connection between healthy food and fitness? First we need to know what is considered "healthy food." Healthy food is food that nurtures and helps your body and organs grow. Foods that are unhealthy deteriorate your bodyīs organs.

Eat to Live, Don't Live to Eat

Two-Thirds of all Americans suffer from being either overweight or obese and 750,000,000 (yes, thatīs million) people worldwide are overweight. In addition, 300,000,000 (yes, thatīs million) people worldwide are obese. Sadly, obesity is responsible for 325,000 deaths every year. Healthy food and fitness are causally related. The reason these statistics are so high is because these unhealthy foods taste good and is what American palettes are accustomed to. But healthy food tastes good too. Itīs just a matter of acquiring a taste for it. Just like our taste buds get acclimated to liking high fat and sweet foods, we can acclimate our taste buds to foods that are low in fat low in sugar and low in calorie. You need a healthy weight loss food plan that's high in lean protein and low in refined carbohydrates.

Train Your Taste Buds

Healthy food and fitness are easily attainable. First, stay away from white flour and sugar. I know that these foods are extremely difficult to give up and you will experience withdrawal symptoms from it. But once your taste buds are devoid of these foods, healthy foods will start to taste really good. Here are examples of healthy foods: blueberries, strawberries, apples, oats, wheat germ, beans, fish (especially salmon), lean turkey, chicken, soy burgers and all soy products, and clean fresh water. If you learn to keep your food in its pure form, meaning not drowning it in sauces and spices and sugar, you will be able to appreciate natureīs seasoning and come to love these healthy foods. You'll also start to lose weight fast!

A Word About Exercise

Healthy food and fitness have a direct correlation. If you eat high fat foods, you will be fat. Itīs as simple as that. To reap the benefits of the correlation between eating healthy food and fitness you must eat healthy and exercise. There are no magic pills, formulas, weight loss machines that will do this for you.To learn more about setting fitness and nutritional goals, Click Here!
