UMD Sends Another Message of Hope to Australian Bushfire Victims and Survivors
According to Ordan Andreevski, Director of Australian Operations for UMD "climate change, drought, bushfires, unsustainable development and strategies for improving the health and well being of the social and ecological system for current and future generations are issues that unite humanity. They provide a platform for joint planning and migration towards a sustainable future."
Civil society organizations like United Macedonian Diaspora can play an important role in facilitating closer bi-lateral and multi-lateral relations and cooperation across a whole range of strategic issues that face all nation states, regions and the planet. Diaspora organizations can also provide mechanisms for philanthropy and volunteering in order to address pressing issues and unmet development needs in the 21st century. These are some of the issues that UMD will discuss at the forthcoming meeting in Canberra with members of the Australia-Macedonia Inter-Parliamentary Group.
