The number one fund raiser for the Democratic Party is . . .

Robert Rouse
. . . George W. Bush!

Not that this was his intention, it just seems to turn out that way.

Environmentalists are up in arms because of Dubya's record - trying to destroy our pristine wilderness, his non-compliance with the Kyoto Accords, and the way he sets aside environmental regulations left and right.

Constitutional scholars are aghast at what our own president is doing to dismantle the document on which our laws are based.

Although the disenfranchised in this country can't afford to donate money to the Democratic Party, I'm sure their votes (at least the ones that are counted) won't be going to Republicans.

National security for this nation is a joke. Bush seems to think we are fighting terrorists in Iraq while the real mastermind behind 9/11 is still at large and able to make more videos than Janet Jackson. While I feel for the immigrants in this country, our borders are wide open to any terror element that wants to sneak in from the south or the north. Bush also believes that spying on his own people is the way to stop terrorists, yet ignoring the FISA law hasn't produced anything substantial. And dock workers are ticked off about the Dubai scandal and the fact that the vast majority of cargo containers coming into this country get through without inspection.

Health care in this country is almost non-existent for the majority of Americans. And the HMOs aren't helping. This morning, a story in the LA Times reported:

Twenty-five Kaiser Permanente patients in Northern California were denied the chance for new kidneys that were nearly perfectly matched to them last year during the troubled start-up of the giant HMO's kidney transplant program in San Francisco . . .

After the intelligence community was rocked by Valerie Plame's name being leaked from sources in the White House, many on Capitol Hill were saying it didn't really matter because she wasn't actually undercover, but a recent story revealed:

MSNBC correspondent (David) Shuster reported that intelligence sources told him that Wilson was part of an operation three years ago "tracking the proliferation of nuclear weapons material into Iran." And the sources asserted, he said, "that when Wilson's cover was blown, the administration's ability to track Iran's nuclear ambitions was damaged as well."

I guess the White House can now make claims about Iran's nuclear capability that cannot be substantiated or denied by the CIA.

Yes, everywhere you go, there is something else this Republican President is doing to make money for the Democrats, so today, I'd like to propose a toast to George W. Bush, so we can all thank him for the tremendous job he is doing for the Democrats.

Salut!

Born in the wilds of a Kentucky college town & raised by a pack of wild grandparents. Attended college 'til I knew everything (meaning, I ran out of money). Became an autodidact which isn't as prestigious as a PhD, but I got along with my professor. I have skewed opinions & a computer which in today's political landscape makes me a dangerous commodity. If you don't understand me, now you know what it's like to be a dumb cousin listening to pop culture references at a Dennis Miller family picnic.
