I have decided to start up a new venture.

The idea behind Immersion Creative is that I completely immerse myself in your everyday, practical environment. I do this to get an idea of the angle, the flavour, and the unique way in which youīve propelled your business forward. Your style is in everything you do. It shows in the way you walk, in the clothes you wear, in the maintenance your put into your sign. You see your style in the way you keep your car. It is all a reflection of you and your business.

There are many different styles and there are many different brands. That is not your problem. What you want to concern yourself with is an accurate depiction of yourself. You want your communications to be aligned. You want them to be consistent. To say the same thing, in varied ways. That this is who I am. This is what I have to offer. And this is why I am important.

Itīs essesial.

Itīs advertising.

That is the reason it exists. The secret is to tap into it in such a way that you can benefit from the exposure. The secret is to tell a story that is genuine. And compelling. And interesting.


Are you really that ordinary?

I think not. I think no company is as ordinary as their advertising.

That is why I find the traditional model absurd. Everyone wants an "ad." Because they pay for "ads." But the public hates "ads." Give them something they want. Thatīs what we are shooting for here: To give interactive, compelling, imaginative reasons why a customer should be interested in your brand. And your brand alone.

Mike Catherall is the founder of Immersion Creative. 



The idea behind this new Vancouver advertising agency is that the best solutions are often found by completely immersing the writer in a client's environment, to get a true feel of the business.

Mike is an award-winning English copywriter and columnist as well as a former Native English teacher. He has worked for some of the world's most prestigious agencies, including Ogilvy & Mather and Publicis on clients such as Disneyland, Mercedes-Benz, Citibank and Western Union.

For years, Mike worked as a copywriter in Hong Kong. He has also written novels, radio plays, children's books, screenplays, and more than ten blogs.
