Birmingham, Alabama is a hub for the transport of illegal immigrants to the eastern United States, according to an affidavit filed Friday after the arrest of two Texas men on smuggling charges.

The city "is a large transshipment point for unlawful foreign nationals" "due to the presence of Interstates 20, 59, 459 and 65," states the affidavit from Special Agent Wes Anthony with U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. (ICE)

The two Texas men are in the Jefferson County jail, accused of smuggling aliens after they were arrested on a Vestavia Hills roadside Tuesday with 20 Hispanic men with no immigration documents. A Tuesday morning fight that drew the attention of police began after the two attempted to extort money from the family of a 17-year-old illegal immigrant they were transporting from Houston, according to the affidavit.

The men regularly act as "coyotes," shipping illegal immigrants through Alabama to several other Southeastern states, according to the agent. *

A President of the United States cannot Welcome all who enter this country, illegally in violation of law as willing Workers with veiled Amnesty promises and expect other than an invasion on U.S. Borders. Socialist factions, Religious Groups to Special Interests advocating a nation without laws are now calling the President's hand.

Legalize all illegal aliens in the United States will be the theme on May 1, 2006.

Shut down the country because America without an illegal alien cheap work force cannot survive for a day is a great idea which should be extended for several years. Please allow Narcotics and Human Smugglers to also participate in the Boycott, taking time off to express their dissatisfaction regarding criminal laws. The Borders and Highways of this nation will be a safer place for at least a day.

In Tucson, while Open Borders advocates and illegal aliens march demanding rights above legal immigrants on Mayday, I plan to join the majority of people who will shop, eat out, and conduct business as usual.
