Kurdish Cultural Center is now officially established in Atlanta, GA. The grand opening day for the public will be on Saturday, January 24th 2009. The official opening day of the Kurdish Cultural Center is February 22 (2y Rebendan), which coincides with the Declaration of Republic of Kurdistan in Mahabad, a day that every Kurds should remember.

As members of the Board of Directors of Kurdish Cultural Center, we would like to extend this invitation to all, Kurds and friends of Kurds, to come and join us at the home of Kurds in Atlanta.

Kurdish Cultural Center is established through the hard dedication of Kurdish volunteers in Atlanta. These volunteers come from different professional backgrounds, cities, different parts of Kurdistan. They all worked on this project endlessly because of their determination to build a home for the Kurdish Community in Atlanta. This physical location will serve both Kurds and Non-Kurds who are knowledge thirsty about Kurds and Kurdistan. This center will also work to ensure that the Kurdish culture, which has taken thousands of years in making, will continue to shine.

Kurdish Cultural Center is established based on three main principles: non-profit, non-political and non-religious. It will be home to all Kurds from all different walks of life, ideological and religious background. Kurdish Cultural Center is paid for by the generous donations of its members, Kurdish community in Atlanta, and other Kurdish American NGOs. We like to thank those who came forward to support our establishment and we like to thank everyone else in advance who will contribute their support in the future.

Once again, please feel free to join us in our opening day and join the various learning programs of Kurdish Classes in Kirmanji and Sorani for Adult and children, English (ESOL) Class for adults, Art, and Dance classes and much more including different seminars, workshops and events.
