Bad Economy hurts Legal Aid Funding

When the economy starts going south, there are often a number of unforseen repurcussions that can create a negative impact on those individuals who were already on the margins of society. Many important social organizations are scaled back of underfunded in some way. For example, the various legal related organizations that help underpriveleged individuals like the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project. This noble organization has assisted many individuals who can not afford a competent attorney, many of whom are not only poor but have the added handicap and social stigma of a "Third World" background. Unfortunately, they are at high risk of losing much of their funding that comes from part of the interest of funds held in trust for clients. These organizations quietly do so much good for so many people. For instance, this outfit helped US resident Maria Nunes after an abusive marriage. Nunes, who is a native of the lovely but resoundedly third world island-nation of Jamaica, fled the state of Florida and an abusive husband who had apparently attacked her repeatedly just prior to her leaving the tropical paradise. Nunes now claims that she was not aware that she even had rights and she was dependant on the marriage to stay stateside.

Attorney Jorge Baron and the Northwest Immigration Rights Project rendered ais to Nunes over a seven year period of time to gain a legal divorce and the Attorney in question also helped her to remain in the United States with a residency green card. By the way if you require an Attorney post settlement funding then you may wish to consider the Law Offices of Happy Rock LLC. They can provide an Attorney post settlement funding or simply information.

Nunes is now legally divorced because of the legal aid that might not even be available for other abused females because of the economic factors which are currently besetting the national economy at large. Some experts expect their funding to be decreased by perhaps half this year. This may cause a lot more heartache than there is now.
