Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California endorsed John Burton today for California Democratic Party State Chair.
Kathy Kneer, President and CEO said, "Planned Parenthood wholeheartedly supports John Burton for chair of the California Democratic Party - the first time our organization has made such an endorsement."
"John is not only a champion of choice and longtime supporter of women's rights, he has a extensive track record of supporting progressive policies that benefit a myriad of Californians. If we are to take advantage of the momentum gained after November's election, John is the right choice at the right time."
Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California (PPAC) is the state public policy office representing California's nine separately incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates. Through advocacy and electoral action, PPAC promotes sound public policy in areas of reproductive health care, family planning and comprehensive sex education.
