GM Crops Climb to Nearly One-Tenth of Global Crop Production
Key concepts: GM crops, Genetic modification and Infertiliy
Genetically Modified crops have risen to the level of nine percent of world crops, warned the Worldwatch Institute today (www.WorldWatch.org).
Tensions are rising over the GM foods issue as consumers become increasingly educated about the sharp increases in infertility resulting from the consumption of GM foods.
A popular book, Genetic Roulette by Jeffrey Smith, is also raising literacy about genetically modified foods and the threats they pose to sustainable life on our planet.
It's more than just a health threat, of course: GM foods also pose a threat to the environment, polluting the fertile soils of the world with unnatural genetic material that may have unknown long-term consequences. Cross-pollination with non-GM crops, monoculture practices and the liberal use of chemical pesticides alongside GM crops are just a few of the serious threats to sustainable life on Earth posed by food scientists playing God with seeds.
Activists are increasingly suggesting that the infertility side effects of GM foods are not coincidental and are, instead, part of a genocidal plan by powerful elitists who want the human population to shrink by 80 percent and are willing to destroy human fertility in order to accomplish it. "Let 'em eat their way to population control!"
Although I don't have any solid evidence to prove such a sinister plan actually exists, I'm greatly concerned about GM crops anyway. Despite the population control conspiracy agenda, GM crops are dangerous even if they're just a big, arrogant mistake by corporate-funded scientists.
These foods are bad for you. They're dangerous for human consumption and they could lead to a runaway agricultural blight that causes mass global starvation. Never play God with Mother Nature unless you're begging to be made extinct.

GM Crops Climb to Nearly One-Tenth of Global Crop Production http://www.worldwatch.org/node/5951
From Worldwatch.org: Genetically modified crops reached 9 percent of global primary crop production in 2007, bringing the total GM land area up to 114.3 million hectares, according to Worldwatch Institute estimates published in the latest Vital Signs Update. The United States continues to be the global leader in production, accounting for half of all GM crop area.
U.S. Health Care Workers Granted Right to Refuse "Morally Objectionable" Treatments or Pharmaceuticals
By Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, November 30, 2008
Key concepts: Abortion, Health care workers and Health freedom
The Bush Administration is set to announce new rules that would allow health care workers to refuse service to patients on moral grounds. It's a rule designed to allow pharmacists to refuse to prescribe "Plan B" pills, for example, or to allow doctors and nurses to refuse to participate in abortions, artificial insemination or even the prescribing of birth control pills.
Not surprisingly, the rule has the full support of the Christian community, as the Christian Medical Association has thrown its full support behind it.
But that's not the news here. The real news is this: Note carefully that the Bush Administration isn't proposing any rules that would allow patients to refuse medical care on moral grounds?
What about parents who wish to refuse vaccines for their children, for example? Or parents of cancer-stricken teens who wish to refuse toxic chemotherapy for their children and seek naturopathic cancer treatments instead? The Bush Administration is proposing no rules that would protect the rights of those who morally object to mandatory vaccines, chemotherapy or other dangerous treatments offered by western medicine.
The upshot of all this, then, is that the Bush Administration believes doctors should have to right to refuse treatment for patients but that patients should have no right to refuse treatments they do want. Thus, Americans continue to live under a system of medical tyranny rather than medical freedom where free citizens might choose the health care modality they wish.
Or, put another way, health care workers no longer have any responsibility to treat YOU if they don't want to, but YOU will be forced (at gunpoint, if necessary) to submit to whatever treatment THEY want you to undergo. See http://www.naturalnews.com/gunpoint_med...
What's wrong with this picture?
In a truly free society, patients should be able to refuse any treatment they morally object to, either for themselves or their children. But rather than boosting the rights of citizens to exercise free choice in their health care, the Bush Administration is focusing its efforts on allowing health care workers to refuse care to patients.
By the way, also note that this rule could potentially allow informed pharmacists to refuse to prescribe psychiatric medications to children if they object to it on moral grounds. This could bring up some fascinating conflicts in the future where some better-informed pharmacists might refuse to fill prescriptions for drugs they know to be dangerous, such as psych meds or chemotherapy drugs.
By attacking abortions and Plan B pills using such rules, the Bush Administration may be unwittingly opening the door for pharmacists and health care workers to refuse to participate in all kinds of treatments.

Big Brother DNA Database is Illegal, Rules EU Court
By Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, December 4, 2008
Key concepts: DNA, Civil rights and Privacy
A verdict by the European Court of Human Rights says that EU law enforcement officials can no longer store the DNA taken from people who are cleared of wrongdoing. Police had been swabbing DNA samples virtually everyone they arrested, then storing the samples in a national DNA database for future use.
The decision means that 860,000 people whose DNA has already been stored in the Big Brother database will now have their DNA records cleared (at least, if the police actually decide to follow the law, which is always questionable...).
Both EU and U.S. governments have been pushing towards building a national (or global) DNA database of all citizens, including those who had never committed any crimes. The DNA could then be saved and held for some sinister future purpose, such as analyzing the genes for possible defects, then mandating the sterilization of citizens who had such defects (eugenics, anyone?).
But this new court decision has handed EU citizens a small reprieve from the encroachment of Big Government. For now, at least, the DNA of innocent civilians will be safe from prying government eyes.
