A Dream Across Time followed up by another excellent novel, Circle of Dreams
Genre: Fiction
Title: A Dream Across Time
AUTHOR: Annie Rogers
From the moment she had arrived in St. Lucia, Jamie felt like she had come home. She quickly realizes the island and its colorful, and often mysterious, inhabitants hold the keys to her past and, hopefully, her future.
A Dream Across Time? is an exciting and romantic novel, filled with rich culture, character, and history. Jamie Elliot arrives on the island with her alcoholic husband, and almost immediately meets the handsome Andre Demontagne, the son of a wealthy family that has called St. Lucia home for many generations. Slowly and with great care, the different histories of the characters are revealed, with wonderful inter-weavings exposed. From the sweet, subtle romance that blooms between Jamie and Andre, to the island magic of Bertille and Marcus, each piece is an intricate and colorful part of the whole.
As talented with words as with plot, Annie Rogers does an exceptional job of creating this entrancing island story. Among the author?s many gifts is the ability to illuminate St. Lucia and its beauty directly through the love of the character, creating an immediate and stable connection between the readers and the characters, and between the readers and the land. The characters are diverse, genuine, and definitely very likable. This wonderful novel tantalizes the reader with a few chapters from the next installment in the series, which appears to live up to its predecessor.
Annie Rogers? is actually the pen name of Mala and Roger Burt, a couple familiar with the Caribbean setting. Obviously, each brought their best to this novel.
An excellent read, the continuation of which I will be enthusiastically awaiting.

Title: A Circle of Dreams
AUTHOR: Annie Rogers
The Demontagne family tree begins with twin boys, one lost to his mother at a young age, one continuing on to create a bloodline on the beautiful island of St. Lucia. Many years and generations later, the family is reunited through the marriage of Andre and Jamie, and ancient wounds appear to heal. But now the same history that binds Jamie and Andre together seems to be trying to steal away their beloved son, and they must remain strong to each other and faithful to the magic of the island if they are to hold on to him.
A Circle of Dreams? is part two in the Demontagne saga. In the first installment, Jamie and Andre meet and fall in love, only to discover an intertwined past. Now, they are happily raising their three children in St. Lucia, but the family history has returned to haunt them. There son Phillip, named after the lost twin of many years ago, has frightening episodes where he seems to mentally disappear, and only his sister Lissa can bring him back.
Just like the first book in this series, ?A Circle of Dreams? is filled with gorgeous scenery, endearing characters, and fascinating mysticism. The writing is intelligent and unpretentious, with well-thought out and revealing dialogue. The setting is most appropriate, and adds greatly to the pleasure of the read. While this novel can stand on its own, it will be even more appreciated after reading the first novel, ?A Dream Across Time?.
Annie Rogers is the pen name for Mala and Roger Burt, who are the talented team behind this enjoyable series. Their love of the Caribbean island is obvious in their writing.
This reviewer highly recommends both the books in this series, and looks forward to future novels by these writers. Reviewer: Nancy Morris, Allbooks Reviews.
