Actress Denise Richards: Charlie Sheen Threatened to Kill Me

In a case involving everything from drugs and gambling to death treats and pornography, a Los Angeles judge ordered actor Charlie Sheen to stay at least 300 feet away from his soon-to-be ex-wife, actress Denise Richards. The judge also ruled that Sheen could visit the couples' two young daughters only once per week, under supervision. Richards claimed in court papers that Sheen had been abusive and had threatened to kill her.

Sheen, the son of actor and liberal activist Martin Sheen, denied the charges and requested that all telephone conversations between the two be tape recorded for his protection. The judge agreed to the stipulation.

Sheen was also granted one-day-a-week visitation with his daughters, Sam, 2, and Lola, 10 months, provided it was done under supervision.

"I am filing this now because I can no longer accept (his) abusive and threatening manner and must stop him from the cycle of his abuse toward me and our children and his continued threats of violence and statements that he is going to kill me," Richards told reporters.

Richards said the star of the CBS TV show "Two and a Half Men" abused prescription drugs, is a compulsive gambler, frequented prostitutes and liked to look at male and female pornography on the Internet.

In a declaration signed Thursday, Sheen said he and Richards had agreed to undergo counselling to "address parenting issues and to establish a mutually acceptable custody schedule," but that Richards stopped participating after two sessions.

Sheen, in court papers, denied Richards' claims of threats, abuse and viewing pornography. According to Fox News, during an interview, Richards alleged that Sheen frequented child pornography web pages, which is a crime, but there have been no police investigations of her allegations.

"The [police] department is unaware of any child porn allegations against Mr. Sheen,"says an LAPD officer who commented on condition of anonymity.

"With such a high-profile actor, if there were any suspicions either the local [police] or the feds would investigate."
