Cynergreen Takes Their "Club in a Box" to Alain L. Locke Elementary School in Harlem NY Today

Tara Paterson
Teaching the next generation about caring for the environment is the mission of CG Kidz and its 12 year old founder, Riley Hoffer.

CG Kidz/CynerGreen will encourage the school to share the message of the three R´s in their classrooms. The theme of the CG Kidz presentation centers around the three R´s with a special focus on Reusing.

During today´s visit by Riley Hoffer and founder Danelle Hoffer, each child will be presented with a reusable, 304 stainless steel, CG Kidz water bottle. It is the company´s hope that the bottles will be carried by all of the kids even after their departure, continuing the focus on reusing. The duo will be educating everyone on the amount of waste generated by the use of plastics and plastic water bottles.

In addition, the school will be presented with a "Green Club in a Box" from CG Kidz. The box will contain everything needed to start an environmental club at the school including a monetary donation for additional supplies.

CGKidz is excited to partner Alain L. Locke Elementary with a school in their Green Schools Ambassador program. Gibson Island Country School located in Pasadena, Maryland will be the school´s green partner in this growing trend of building environmental awareness for our country´s future. The school is among the first certified green schools in the state of Maryland. Gibson (grades K-5) has a focus on environmental education that includes recycling, a heavy composting program, community projects, and reducing waste by reusing. They also hold an annual "Green Festival" which draws more than 800 people and features many local "green" vendors, presentations from eco friendly speakers including CG Kidz and vendors that sell sustainable and organic products. They will act as a "green ambassador" to help get the new club and environmental curriculum ideas off to a great start and be available as a great resource.

Congratulations to Alain L. Locke Elementary for being among the first to initiate an environmental club and for welcoming CKKidz/ Cynergreen to your school!
