Ted Haggard is Back in the Pulpit in Defiance of His Former Leaders

Ted Haggard, the disgraced minister who lost his church (New Life Church) and his job as President of the National Associations of Evangelicals, when it was discovered that he had been frequenting a male prostitute for 3 years is back and he has a new tale to spin.

When we last left Ted Haggard he was in Phoenix, Arizona looking to go to graduate school to become a therapist. He had withdrawn from the "restoration" process after he asked for money to support his family from people on his mailing list.

Now Haggard wants us to know that he was sexually abused by a member of his father´s church. Of course, he does not "specify" what happened, and here is the thing, what does it have to do with the fact that he cheated on his doormat wife with a male prostitute? Nothing, except he is allowing himself to believe that since he is a man, the only reason he would desire to have sex with another man is if he was molested as a child. He says, the experience "started to rage in my mind and in my heart."

What is juicy is that Ted Haggard has left Phoenix and has returned to Colorado Springs to start an insurance agency. Will there be a showdown to get back the Church he started? It has only been 2 years since his downfall, and as far as the terms that were placed on Haggard, he does not seem to have met any of them. The terms were he had to complete a "restoration" process and move away from Colorado Springs. Well, Haggard has flipped the script and is even back in the pulpit, which is where his revelations about the sexual abuse and his thoughts on how he was treated.

He says that the treatment he and his family received strengthened his marriage and his faith. Haggard goes on to say that anytime a minister is caught in sin that the Church his consistently blown it, and his treatment was no exception.
