PUPPY BITING

Biting is a natural behavior of puppies and dogs. Unfortunately they can´t behave as themselves in the human society therefore we need to teach them to leave these ´bad´ habits. It is the responsibility of the owner to teach the puppy not to continue the habit. The puppies may bite other puppies or they bite the sofa, the shoes and whatever they find interesting. Puppy biting is not a problem most of the time but to keep it safe, we need to teach them to leave that habit. The owner must be very patient and never yell or act violet with the puppy. The owner must praise the puppy whenever it behaves well while in new company or at home.
A good suggestion is to get some toys which it can bite when it is being playful but don´t let the puppy over do it. Take the toy away after sometime. Also whenever the puppy bites you, act as if it is hurting badly and pull away or walk away from the puppies for sale even if it is not. Or say ´no´ loudly whenever it bites you so that the puppy knows that you don´t like it. Again if your puppy has a severe biting problem you can put on a pair of gloves and apply a foul tasting substance to them. Your dog will soon learn that if he bites you, it won't be tasty. Many dogs will stop biting but there are some smart dogs who know that the taste will be different if you take off the gloves.
Socializing teaches the puppy to control itself. It is natural for dogs to bite each other and this is an indication of their playfulness but sometimes the owners mistake it as an aggressive behavior and panic. If it is a case of aggression then the other puppy will yelp in pain but the puppy will not stop. If the puppy is just playing, then it will stop as soon as it realizes that the other is in pain with puppy mills. Socializing with other dogs will in fact reduce the chances of the dog becoming insecure in the presence of new dogs. The puppy also needs to feel comfortable while amongst human beings. This will prevent the puppy from becoming intimidated when it sees new people. Dogs which are kept in seclusion are more aggressive and they are the ones who mostly bite human beings.
