Whom Should You Thank on Thanksgiving?

C.D. Mohatta
Thanksgiving is the day when you should thank everyone. The question is whom should you thank on Thanksgiving day. First of all, you must thank God for making you what you are. You may crave for many things in life. But on Thanksgiving you should thank God for creating you. Thank Him for giving you the life you are living. Thank him for giving you your family and your good friends. Thank him for the good food you eat. Thank God for the car you drive, the job you work at, the home you live in, all the money you have, etc. Basically you need to thank God for everything and anything in your life. Only because of God, you are there in this world. Only when you thank him can you get what you want in life.

After God, you should thank your parents. Thank them in person if they are alive. Thank them in your thoughts if they aren't. You are what you are because of your parents. You got good education, good food, clothes to wear, and everything else from childhood to today from your parents. Thank them for that.

After God and your parents, thank your teachers. Teachers are said to be equal to your parents. In fact in some countries, people regard teachers as equivalent to God. Because of your teachers, you got prepared for the game of life. You became well educated and learned because of your teachers.

Now, you must thank your siblings and friends. Thank them for moulding your thoughts and developing your character and people skills. Give your gratitude to them for being there when you needed them most. Close friends and siblings are there for life. Offer your thanks to them and show your gratitude.

So do not be confused about what to do on Thanksgiving.
