Highway 1 Motorcycle Crash Severely Injures Riders

According to reports by California motorcycle injury lawyers, the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle accident occurred Friday at approximately 12:48 p.m. on Highway 1 in the southbound lanes in the vicinity of Rio del Mar.
The afternoon accident occurred when the operator of the motorcycle traveling at freeway speeds was following to closely to a BMW and as traffic slowed the motorcycle struck the vehicle.
The driver of the motorcycle and a passenger were severely injured, the man only identified as a 22 year old man from Watsonville sustained major injuries in the accident. Sanford Life Flight transported him to Stanford University Medical Center.
The passenger identified as an 18 year old female and resident of Watsonville was transported by ambulance to Dominican Hospital. She was later airlifted to a regional Medical Center in San Jose.
The driver of the BMW identified as a 28 year old man and also a resident of Watsonville was not injured during the crash.
The extent of their injuries have not been released or their current conditions.
