When Rush Limbaugh Gets It Wrong
Many would disagree with my positive assessment of Rush Limbaugh and his radio show. On a regular basis Mr. Limbaugh presents impeccable facts on issues to clearly and concisely validate his conservative viewpoint. Rush Limbaugh is an undying and constant reminder of the ever present liberal agenda to pervert, distort and change the core values of America to reflect the apathetic and anemic societies of Europe. No one can mistake Rush Limbaugh’s style for objective broadcasting. Love him or hate him nearly everyone knows exactly what to expect when tuning into Rush Limbaugh’s show. Limbaugh, despite his sometimes suffocating arrogance, is excellence in broadcasting when it comes to content and insight from a conservative view.
Perhaps Mah-Ha Rushie is a little too full of himself at times? To be as accurate and focused as El-Rushbo and encounter the adversity Limbaugh does one must be self assured. Its one thing to be self assured. Its another thing to entirely discredit millions of Americans simply because they refuse blind allegiance to party’s that have long lost the meaning of the word ‘loyalty’ to their constituents.
Anyone who has read anything I’ve ever written or knows me for any length of time knows my distain for liberals. Yes, I’m fully open to civil discourse with liberals at any place and time, but on the basis of core American values liberals are almost hopelessly lost. I have seen only few exceptions and cherish those few people in the liberal lot who can think with their heads and support their ideas factually and historically without wild accusations or throwing themselves into a red faced uninterruptible fit.
Perhaps that half of his brain he ties behind his back comes into play at times? Certainly one of those times was when he lumps people like me in with liberals.
I do not give my vote away. I like many others voted enthusiastically for Ross Perot when looking at the choices at hand in 1992. Yes, I did inadvertently usher in the Clinton era by voting Perot. But those millions who voted Perot should send a clear signal to all politicians that ‘we the people’ are tied of politics as usual and our votes can and will swing elections. You’d think after Ross Perot the Republicans would see this fact of politics pretty clearly.
Republicans my vote is not assured.
It is true that I’ve never voted Democrat. But it’s not like I had a real choice between the parties in my lifetime. The RNC’s impotent ability to rule coupled with their arrogant disregard toward the will of the American peoples is appalling. The lack of leadership (SPINE) in Congress and the Senate is embarrassing. Your ideas alone are not enough unless you can explain them properly and have the will to push those ideas that gained you the peoples support and ushered your party into the White House.
Democrats there’s not a snowballs chance in hell I’d vote for you until you re-learn “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”, and really understand its context in American history. A political party is not a ‘Big Tent’ by nature. It, like a nation, is a collection of people with the same ideas and views for the country. To laud the ‘big tent’ is simply your witty way of saying ‘we stand for nothing in particular’ and support anything that gives us members and money.
Tell me Rush, what have the Republicans done to solidify your loyalty? It’s understandable that the state of the DNC is such that they do not leave a reasonably patriotic American any real choice when voting. But the Republicans are not protecting America’s sovereignty, they are not fixing social security, they are not implementing school vouchers, and they (as the majority) are not abiding by the will of those who elected them. The Republicans, who are packed with good ideas that truly could reform the nation, allow themselves to be stymied and re-routed from their campaign promises for what…money? To be liked?
I’m an Independent Rush and no party is guaranteed my vote. I am not a Ditto-Head. In each election every American should look at the candidates as best he can and choose each time those politicians that best reflect the historical integrity of our nation, its sovereignty , and a truly progressive (not liberal) course that advances America without losing her culture or her values. That would mean no party gets an automatic approval across the board simply because I happen to wear an ass or an elephant on a lapel pin. All politicians should be deemed equal until such time that they disqualify themselves by saying or doing something which conflicts with my view of America. Can you say the same?
Truly Independent voters are perhaps the most valued commodity in American politics today. The further down the septic tank the Presidents numbers sink and the more the Republicans choose to ignore the immigration issue, the more Republican voters will become Independents like me.
An independents’ allegiance is to America and not to two aged parties that feel they have a hereditary right to rule rather then serve the people of this nation.
I’m truly sorry you can’t see that Rush.
