Egypt's Great Pyramid

James Wood
We may sometimes classify misunderstood facts as being mysterious. I think that has been an important factor in the study of ancient Egypt. When skilled Egyptologists and archeologists are confronted with mega monuments that have no historical data to explain their existence they must use their research to come up with answers. They are very good at it but with no actual facts by which to compare results there is no sure way to know what the truth is. This leaves the door ajar for a lot of second-guessing and speculation. It also creates a fertile ground for debate. I have been very interested in the large pyramids on the Giza plateau for many years. I had the opportunity to read many books on the recreated history of Egypt and what has been offered as the background on these large pyramids. My view of the facts was self-published in my book, Egypt´s Great Pyramid of Knowledge, in 2007 by Author House, and is available for sale on the Web at many bookseller sites, including Amazon.com as well as at www.authorhouse.com.

Before I get too far into my own views on the subject I ask that you give the nagging questions a little thought on your own. Why would any race of people feel compelled to expend such a great deal of effort and wealth to create the equivalent of a stone mountain? We know the experts favor it as a tomb, they think it was for Pharaoh Khufu/Cheops, the one they credit with the construction? If it was simply a large tomb why was all of the accuracy in construction required? Also, if it was just a Tomb why wasn´t they´re some of the usual tomb decorations included in it? Lastly why wouldn´t the responsible party take credit for his magnificent creation? Think about it.

My view is that the Great Pyramid was primarily intended as a house for imitation for the priesthood although because the Pharaoh has the control he must be a part of the scheme as well. A secondary purpose as a tomb for the current and past Pharaoh´s as well as some of the high priests is very likely.

I think of the Great Pyramid as a storehouse for the knowledge of all the past people of that part of the world, the Egyptians and those that were around during the prehistory times that have been lost to us. They want us to know that and they want us to learn the truth when we are smart enough to figure out how to find the places the information is stored. They have included in the construction the value of Pi in many ways. Each side is 754 feet at the base. The height was 480 feet. 754 + 480 =1234. 1+2+3+4 =10. The symbolic number of the Great Pyramid is 10. This was a symbolic number to Pythagoras as well, as I mention in my book. 1x2x3x4= 24 and that is the location of the entrance on the north face being 24 feet to the left of the centerline. The location of the entrance on the north face being 24 feet to the left of the centerline of that face. I know that experts on Egypt have claimed that the ancient Egyptians did not know the value of Pi. I contend that they knew it and included it in many ways in the construction of the pyramid. The most obvious is the base divided by half of the height (754/240=3.14166) as one example. I have other examples in the book and some other disclosures of numerical surprises.

My primary point in the book was to build the Great Pyramid from the ground up using tools that I believe the Egyptian´s would have, or could have, had available to them. In so doing I felt it was important, for the first time in print, to explain those items in the pyramid that have previously been described as mysterious or unexplained. In the book I offer an explanation based on common sense and logic to explain everything we have learned about the Great Pyramid. I found no need for magic or Aliens to understand how the feat was accomplished. I do not spend any effort in a long history of the adventures of the people that went before us because there are plenty of books with those details and it was not relevant to my purpose.

I recall seeing a special on the Discovery Channel where in an Egyptologist was giving a tour of the Great Pyramid and commented that "the builders of the Great Pyramid made two mistakes relating to the final location of the Pharaoh´s burial chamber." He explained that, "at first they were going to use Pit Room and they changed their mind, leaving the room unfinished. They then decided to put the Pharaoh in the so-called Queens chamber and decided not to do it in favor of the final ´King´s Chamber´." This viewpoint really upset me. I did not argue with the published views in my book and I do not intend to do so here. The problem is that this Egyptologist viewpoint is offered as fact when it is not. I get concerned about people that will go through life believing erroneous stuff that is fed to them by "experts" as fact. Commonsense tells us that any people that can build an edifice of the size and with the perfection of the Great Pyramid did not makes mistakes like not knowing where to put the Pharaoh´s remains. Also note that our educator is telling us at the same time that the very purpose for building the pyramid was to accommodate the burial of the Pharaoh. Apparently the expert could not envision any other use for the Pit Room or the Queen´s Chamber. I do, and I set forth my opinion and I explain the reason for my opinion.

You may be surprised at how it all fits so well together. The Grand Gallery is always referred to as mysterious and unfathomable. It is a major part of the construction that runs right up to the entrance to the ´King´s Chamber´. A careful consideration of the details of construction serves to provide a sound logical explanation for the existence of the Grand Gallery but also why it was required for the very construction of the Great Pyramid.

Even the copper fittings on the "door" at the top of the vent extending from the Queens Chamber, as discovered by the German Engineer, Gaitenbrink, is discussed and explained along with why the floor of the Queens Chamber is about two feet lower than the passage leading up to it. These ingredients in the construction of the GP have never been explained before I did so. There are no mistakes embodied in the Great Pyramid and every nook and cranny was intended. The unusual structure above the "King´s Chamber" is said to be there for stress relief due to the expanse of heavy stonework above the chamber. I do not agree. This initiation chamber for the priests is, I contend, based upon the ancient practice embodied within the I Ching, also known as the "Book of Changes", that goes back at least 5,000 years. I show why the King´s Chamber was never intended as a resting place for a Pharaoh. In Egypt tombs were sealed. They did not have movable doors for visitors. The construction shows that the King´s Chamber was not really sealed but had panels, probable wooded to permit raising and lowering, so the initiate could get inside and into the granite box and the teachers could leave and close the chamber in a temporary fashion. There is no tomb that was ever found that provides for such ease of entrance and exit. You may not agree with everything I recite in the book but you are certain to find it to be original.

The conclusion of the book deals with where I contend the undiscovered chambers will be found. Not burial chambers, but storage chambers for documents, stone or papyrus, and other artifacts whose storage was one of the primary purposes for the building of the Great Pyramid. You may wonder now how I conjured up the information for the location of the chambers. I can tell you that in my opinion the builders wanted us to find the chambers with out tearing the structure apart and they provided the clues and the means for us to do so, as I explain in detail in this paperback book.

The websites listed above are my effort to plug my books and to expose other interested parties to the subjects that I have spent many years checking the facts. I am convinced that I am correct in my contentions and that time will prove me to be accurate. My disclosure of the mechanics of the Solar System is new, unique and close to amazing.
