With just ten days to go until ballots are due, Jeff Merkley's campaign is issuing another Gordon Smith flip flop alert.
In the closing days of this race, Gordon Smith has flip flopped his position on Dave Brownlow, the Constitution Party nominee for U.S. Senate.
One week ago Gordon Smith went to great lengths to show that Dave Brownlow will have no effect on the race.
Fast forward to this weekend and a big fat Gordon Smith flip flop.
In his latest attack ad Smith is lashing out at anyone with a name on the ballot. Smith continues his misleading attack on Merkley and begins his blistering assault on Brownlow.
Smith's hypocrisy has reached new heights. After airing television ads in Portland bragging about his work on gay rights, Smith is now attacking Brownlow for his position on marriage equality, an issue important to the gay and lesbian community.
Just two weeks ago Smith was lamenting the tone of his negative ads and offered to stop the negative attacks. Now he is attacking anyone with a name on the ballot.
While Smith continues his desperate, negative campaign, Jeff Merkley's campaign is airing a new ad with Barack Obama touting Merkley as the change America needs.
