Are Cell Phone Lookups Free?

Greg Wilson
Do you have a friend, colleague, or family member who is always bragging about being able to get things for free, even though they´re things that everyone else has to pay for? Perhaps this is a person who downloads his or her favorite songs and movies, computer programs and games, and who can even find the free equivalent to just about every service that is offered online to regular people. This is quite a skill, and if it works, legally for that individual, then that´s great. In fact, that might be a good person to know because he or she might be able to save you some money down the road. However, if this person claims that he or she knows a website that will offer cellular telephone number lookups for free, then you know the person has either been duped, or simply isn´t telling the truth.

This is because free cell phone lookups don´t exist – anywhere – as a result of the way the sites containing these directories are created, and the laws that surround them. Cellular telephone numbers are carefully guarded by both the government and cellular service providers, to ensure that telemarketers can´t get a hold of them (causing the problem that is currently faced by landline users where their suppers are interrupted every night) and to protect the overall privacy of the mobile users.

However, just because you can´t get a free service online, it doesn´t mean that you can´t get a great deal. If you´re looking to get the most out of your money, it´s a good idea to find a large, reputable site that offers the service from a sizeable directory. Then, sign on for a membership that will allow you as many searches as you want within that membership period. This way, you´ll be able to make as many queries as you´d like without having to pay each time. You can usually find such a membership for a very affordable price, so you shouldn´t worry about the cost, as long as you do intend to use the service.

Remember to avoid any site that tells you to try a free cell phone lookup, because that will not be an ethical site that has your best interest in mind. That´s a site that is willing to tell you anything to sign you up and get you to part with your money, not necessarily providing a good quality service.
