There are so many different ways that we can come across telephone numbers that are not properly referenced to the business or individual to whom they belong. In some cases, this doesn´t do much harm, but in others, this can be very frustrating, distracting, or downright dangerous.
For example, you may miss a call on your cell phone and wonder to whom the number belongs. You may also have recorded the number of a client, friend, or someone else, and you simply cannot remember who that person was – only you know that you need to call the number back.
Perhaps there is someone calling you at all hours of the night, or calling you repeatedly when you are or are not home and hanging up, leaving messages, or trying to play pranks on you. Maybe you´ve even seen a number scrawled on the bathroom wall, for that matter, and you want to see if it´s real (just for fun, of course…nobody would actually call those numbers!).
