Reply to Risto Stefov's Articles on the American Chronicle

Letters to the Editor
Image: Ancient inscription outside the government building in FYROM, supposedly in "Macedonian". In the right-down corner a close up of the inscription. Guess what: It's in Greek.

Mr. Stefov,

I'm sure you are aware of the truth but I will write this so that it won't seem your article is unanswered.

1. If you are interested in the history of ancient Macedonia you should read a TRUE scholar and not only the Skopjan falsifiers. And the name is Nicholas Hammond professor of Cambridge. He's not among us anymore but he left behind his works. And know this:When they call you a Slav or a Skopjan they DON'T want to insult you, they speak what they believe to be true.Read Hammond and you'll know why.

2. Whether we are Greeks or not is NONE of your concern.

3. You write: The question that begs to be asked is NOT whether Macedonians exist or not but, "Why do Greeks deny the existence of Macedonians?" I have often asked Greeks that question and to this day I have not been able to get an honest answer.I seriously doubt you've ever asked ANYONE that, but here's your answer:We NEVER denied that. It's just that YOU are not Macedonians.Crystal clear.Macedonians were one of many Greek tribes. As for you, there was a country named VARDARSKA occupied mostly by Slavs. In 1944 a general Tito renamed it to Macedonia.By falsifying basic historical facts they begun teaching people that they are Macedonians, they speak Macedonian etc.So today they believe they are descendants of ancient Macedonians.l don't blame them. Personally,I find it really pitiful. These people have been deceived.

4. Finally Mr.Stefov (or is it Chris Stefou?) when someone writes an article to inform and not to deceive he writes specific things with proof, not generalities like ''It is a well-known fact''.Otherwise how is this different from propaganda?

Regards from a Greek citizen.
