So Many Complaints, So Little Action

Letters to the Editor
In 1991, most Americans (and political candidates) were complaining how bad the US economy was; the tag line often was (what´s most important topic of the presidential campaign?) "its the economy stupid". Then, the RTC was working, yet many thought too slowly and Clinton-Gore and Ross Perot had a plan to get us back to normal. 17+yrs later, were at same place, yet facing a deep precipice to fall into, our friends abroad included. The Internet, for all its positives of creating a global economy, enabled markets across the world to follow each other, for the world to see in [relative] real time. It´s helped keep life moving forward worldwide and facilitated citizens of the world to work in other countries fairly quickly.

HOWEVER, in the US, our nation faces a multitude of problems (i.e. economic, financial, real estate values, energy, health care, climate change, education, voting results, etc). With all we´re sick with, you´d think we´d want strong medicine to help heal us to return to normal. A political ticket with vision of where we need to go, a plan, and leadership to get better has been presented to us all repetitively. Yet it seems that most Americans are focused on having a familiar face at bedside to share the misery they´re enduring.

If we elect John and Sarah, expect America to wallow in misery for 4 to 8yrs. Who wants to stay sick for so long? Smart Americans know that Barack and Joe will give the medicine we need created by expert doctors, scientists and medicine manufacturers; all we´ve got to do is vote ´em into office November 4th.

Pull yourself together America, stop complaining about how sick you are and worrying who to trust with your vote. Barack and Joe are as honest as people come, are folks you´d want as friends, can lead/govern us responsibly and can help us get better soon without a relapse.
