Tamworth Sports Injury Clinic is now a Flora London Marathon Injury Club Member
Staffed by experienced sports physiotherapists and a sports podiatrist, the Staffordshire clinic has practitioners who are runners themselves. Chartered Physiotherapist Richard Mason has clocked an impressive 2 hours 22 minutes for the London Marathon and Sports Podiatrist Peter Taylor has won a half marathon in 1 hour 10 mins.
The Sports Injury Clinic is attracting runners who wish to use the video gait analysis and have prescriptive custom made orthotics to correct biomechanical dysfunctions which can bring on running injuries. The clinic has use of a laser foot scanner and offers full biomechanical evaluations and injury treatment.
The Tamworth clinic sponsors local athlete Meghan Beesley who collected a bronze medal in Poland recently. Meghan ran the 400m hurdles in the world championships and finished 3rd.
Both Meghan and fellow Tamworth athlete Nathan Woodward, another 400 hurdle superstar, are supported by the Atlas team who are providing support up to the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Lichfield running club also receive support from the Tamworth clinic who supply free sports massage on their Lichfield 10k race every year.
