Large UFO will appear Oct. 14, says Aussie woman

There has been significant interest generated about the claim that a large UFO will intentionally make itself seen on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

A woman living in Australia, Blossom Goodchild, says this information was conveyed to her through ESP.

She says that representatives of the "Federation of Light" contacted her via mental telepathy to communicate about the Oct. 14 event.

To some people, Goodchild's claims may seem highly questionable or even ridiculous. Others may find themselves believing or hoping that such a development occurs.

According to Goodchild, the craft will present itself so that it can be seen and demonstrate to humans that other beings exist and are visiting Earth. She says they will be visible for three days and that they come in peace and love.

Goodchild has clarified one point of the message she claims to have received. The beings contacting her gave her the word "Alabama." But she says they did not explicitly say that would be the location of the large craft's appearance.

Goodchild states that they told her, "We give to you the name of Alabama."

NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN CONNECTIONS

The word "Alabama" is from Native American Indian language. The Alabama Indian people were originally called "Alibami" or "Alabamee." Their language is known as "Alibamu."

The word's origins are not quite clear but it is believed to possibly be based on a Creek (Muskogee) tribe word meaning "campsite" or "clearing," or from a Chocktaw Indian word meaning "brush-clearers" or "thicket-clearers."

Today, most Alabama tribe Indians live in Texas and Oklahoma. Other native tribes that once lived in Alabama include the Biloxi, Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Koasati (Coushatta) and Muskogee.

What are the connections, if any, between UFOs, extraterrestrial and/or extra-dimensional visitors and the Native American Indians of long ago?

There are many references to unusual visitors from the skies in the legends of American Indian tribes. In present times, Indians continue to experience interesting phenomena that is unconventional or anomalous, and seems possibly related to these ancient stories and legends.

In addition, much of the lore of UFOs and extraterrestrials makes mention of human genetics and our deep biological backgrounds and DNA. Other UFO and ET claims involve more current activities associated with our DNA.

Many Americans today have American Indian DNA within them from ancient ancestors.

Some researchers have claimed that there may be a higher incidence of "close encounters" among people who have American Indian and/or Celtic backgrounds.

(Although the ancient Celtic culture once spread throughout central Europe in around the third century B.C., today, the term "Celts" generally refers to cultures in the British Isles and particularly Scotland and Ireland.)

A possible American Indian connection again brings us back to Blossom Goodchild.

Prior to her alleged communication from the Federation of Light, Goodchild claimed to be in telepathic contact with and claimed to "channel" a being she calls White Cloud, a Native American Indian.

Goodchild says that White Cloud contacted her in 1999 after she had a serious illness. She has written three books about channeling White Cloud and the information he gives her.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

Goodchild states that the messages she received from the Federation of Light seemed to indicate that the large craft would be seen in the "southern hemisphere" of Earth. Obviously, the state of Alabama is in the northern hemisphere.

Interestingly, she says they told her in response to her question about this, "In days of old, it used to be."

This is a comment that might bring to mind the concepts of continental drift, plate tectonics and theories of sudden crustal shifts.

The idea of periodic historical and future crustal "pole shifts" includes theories that every 10,000 years or so, the Earth's crust may suddenly shift and slide over the more liquid inner surfaces. According to this theory, the locations of whole continents could suddenly move quite dramatically.

Goodchild doesn't seem to know what to make of the comment, "In days of old, it used to be," but perhaps the crustal shift idea is one possibility.

Actually, she says the words were, "It shall be in the south of your hemisphere." What does that mean? Goodchild lives in Australia.

Other observers have pointed out that the Huntsville, Alabama, area has long been home to major U.S. missile and space technology activities. German rocket scientists were brought there after World War II.

The Huntsville Chamber of Commerce notes on its Web site that the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville "is one of the largest and most diversified field centers" of NASA. "The Marshall Center has been a key contributor to significant NASA programs throughout the space agency's 45-plus-year history – from the 1961 flight of the first U.S. astronaut into space, to the Apollo missions exploring the moon, to the development and operation of America's space shuttle fleet, to the development of the Hubble Space Telescope, and the construction of the International Space Station," the chamber's Web site states.

The chamber also explains that "The Marshall Center is poised for a key role as NASA and the nation prepare to carry out a bold and exciting new Vision for Space Exploration for human and robotic exploration of the solar system. This starts with a safe return to flight of the space shuttle and continues with trips to the moon in preparation for exploration of Mars and other destinations."

According to the chamber, U.S. Army activities in the Huntsville area include the Aviation & Missile Command (AMCOM); Ordnance, Missile, Electronics & Munitions School (OMEMS); Space & Missile Defense Command (SMDC); Program Executive Office Aviation; Missile & Space Intelligence Center (MSIC), Redstone Technical Test Center (RTTC); Program Executive Office Missile & Space; and the Missile Defense Agency.

So, the word "Alabama" would seem to have some relevance in this context too.

Unlike many UFO theories and reports, this one by Goodchild seems as though it will be quite easy to prove or disprove.

When Oct. 14 arrives, we will see what happens.
