Sorry. Our two main Presidential Candidates said NOTHING substantive or practical or bipartisan about containing this sudden "emergency" fiscal crisis.
In my world a REAL emergency that nurses & doctors triage day in day out 24x7 is Life Threatening:
There is NO
Airway
Breathing or
Cardiac circulation. Get the paddles. That is a REAL emergency.
This is a political emergency because all of Congress & the President know they are about to be swept out of office by voting or by Justice in a matter of days. They have paraded in front of us, spending obscene amounts of money on their Rockstar campaigns, without one practical three point plan to present in their first debate. Either one of them. One got all huffy & grandstandy & threatened not even to come so he could swoop into Washington like Mighty Mouse & save the day by Friday evening. Which of course did not happen because he is old, he is a boy, & he has not solved all these problems in the last 26 years. So chances were, he was not going to do it in a week. So he wisely at least showed up. Then they both went back to Washington to actually work like everyone else often has & does. They worked a weekend shift.
Big whup!
And the pundits, reporters, & political analysts are having a field day.
But let me remind everyone that has the intelligence of a third grader, just because you tell me YOU have an emergency, does not mean I think you have an emergency. So who here is the nurse? Who is trained to tell the difference?
I say, a 750 billion dollar debt did not develop overnight. America was not gonked on the head & mugged. This is not a Trauma injury. This is more like a slow growing malignant tumor fed by toxic bad decisions by the body of government as a whole.
These are the journalistic questions I want to research this week as I maintain a close email correspondence with Senator Leahy & Senator Sanders. I hope they join together to pare down the New Deal to 9 pages, not 109. I think they are the elder statespeople who can. Let Sanders be the lead because he is an Independent, & these are Independent proposals from Vermont.
Go all or nothing. Cut & paste with brutal, laser-like surgical accuracy invoking the BEST Presidential programs of the past & building upon them with clear Constitutional law. Constitutional & Case law will give the preamble to the scaled down deal.
It must begin with this;
Repeal & render null & void ALL previous Tax Code laws.
Repeal & render null & void all secret Executive Orders written during the two terms of the most recent Bush Administration. This will INSURE the Chief Executive CEO of America does not leave the White House with ANY Golden parachute.
Declare that the War on Terrorism begins on home soil within every American home. With the total cessation of violence against women & men in spousal or domestic committed relationships.
That in Divorce Proceedings this Domestic Terrorism may be at its height with battles over money. Money being the root of all evil. Not money per se, which is the circulatory blood of the governmental body, but money as the tool of Power OVER Tactics which is the hallmark of the battle of the sexes in domestic battering situations. That these cases develop over years of time & have a predictable & well defined cycle & that this has a financial component which is manipulated intentfully by the Abuser in a domestic business or partnership that Marriages are or Same Sex Unions are.
In order to CEASE economic rape of abused partners in domestic situations, & to ease the burden of the general population of America, immediate Banking Laws will be enacted to save the primary Government Retirement Insurance American retirees rely upon from Uncle Sam: Social Security.
Repeal & render null & void all laws which LIMIT the amount of Retirement or Disabilty Income an individual receives. Remove all "caps" that have been hidden within the Social Security Total Disability regulations to date. Using the regular calculation processes, give people their money. On a monthly basis as originally intended by the author of Social Security, FDR. BOTH, that is all TWO claims, if both have been lawfully won claims for Retirement & Disability for individuals who have properly & lawfully won these claims in a Federal Court.
Write in a NEW DEAL that all families currently homed in their primary residence are PROTECTED universally by a revised & resurrected Homestead Act originally authored by President Lincoln, with sentences that expand upon Home Rule protections for those who would otherwise be or become homeless. This to be a Federal Protection for all States & allied territories, & military bases.
And apply all laws to the investment banking community that apply to grand larceny & petty theft, when such laws can be applied for past Abuse of Powers in past Administrations which allowed the country to accrue such massive debt as of today. In a mass, class action this will WIN back our proper due AFTER the elections THROUGH the Justice Department OF the Federal Government.
In the history of the REASONS our Congress allowed for this deficit, explain in one or two paragraphs which portion of the 700 billion we owe to which other set of countries. We need a pie chart. We need to SEE which other continents are attempting to buy America out from under us.
And pay them back based upon a twenty year plan which is the standard in debt repayment for Consumer laws in America.
IMMEDIATELY flat tax ALL Americans, as an EMERGENCY ORDER in an income bracket this past business quarter of one million dollars or more: ten percent & ask them to deposit this within the week to the U.S. Treasury.
That is enough emergency legislation from you all prior to the election. That is all I want.
Along with my prior Proposal to amend Banking laws. TODAY. You add what you want, extracting the best ideas in the other 100 pages. These reforms cover everything substantive I need covered by November 4th, 2008.
